Chicken Miche — Restaurant in Waukegan

Happened to be in the area conducting business and came in based solely on the exterior which reminded me of restaurants in Mexico. Food was great! I had the taco dinner meat choice was asada, al pastor and tripas. I’ll start by saying I do not eat tripas but today I said what the heck and gave it a go worst case I won’t eat. The asada was crisp and well seasoned, al pastor was so good and had pineapple bits and last but not least tripas which was fantastic! I requested crispy and they certainly were I’d definitely have tripa tacos again. The rice and beans were also good. The second dish ordered was grilled chicken with fries and cole slaw. The chicken was flavorful and juicy. The fries were tasty and the slaw was so good. If you’re into spicy salsas you’ll love their salsa bar. We had cacahuate (peanut), salsa de chile de árbol and a green guacamole like salsa. So darn delicious! Oh and we had the Michelada special BOGO. The service was top tier from the lady taking orders and waitressing to the cooks who also assisted with meal delivery to tables. Would I take the 40 minute drive to enjoy their food again, YES! Give them a try I heard they have a taco...

I recently visited this place for the first time and was eager to try their drinks and food. The outdoor patio was a great spot to relax, but I found the heavy and awkward door to enter and exit while carrying my food and drinks to be a bit of a hassle.

I ordered the hot chetto steak burrito and a regular Michelada. The burrito was a 2/10, but unfortunately, 80% of it was just rice! There was barely any meat, so it tasted pretty bland, like just a tortilla with rice.

The Michelada was a 4/10. The Clamato/mix was overpowering, so I should have ordered a flavored one instead.

Overall, I paid $25 for the rice burrito and a regular Michelada, which I found a bit overpriced. I’ll give them a second chance, but I hope they improve their food...

First time today finally Opened & these Nachos Supreme are pretty good/filling & steak seasoned just right also fresh toppings & salsa. Kinda reminds me of that chicken spot on Green Bay but this place got different items on the menu that keeps it different from comparing which is good my opinion. 4 Stars for now till I try other things but I was satisfied with the food, service & atmosphere Thx C.M. keep up...
