TL:DR Absolutely horrendous service from staff and manager, all of whom seemed to barely comprehend or speak English. Our whole experience was a hastle, were given undercooked food, and we will definitely NOT be going back here.
We had a mobile order for a coffee and decided while waiting in the drive through to get food, so we tell the girl we have a mobile order but also wanted to place another order right there. She could not comprehend what we were saying and just kept telling us no mobile order was in the system and had us pull to the first window where again we tell her we want to place a second order, to which she nods and then closes the window on us. We get her attention again and tell her we wanted to place an order and you had us pull around first. That must have finally clicked with her because she took our order then. Move to the second window, they say they have no mobile order. 'Were we SURE we checked in?' is all they asked, as we are sitting there with the check in confirmation and order number for it, showing it to them. They're insisting we never placed the order because it wasn't in their system. Even the manager tried to blow us off about it seeming to care less, telling us to wait for it to show up in the system even though we had ordered it about 10 min prior with proof saying otherwise. So we park and go in to the pick up counter, this taking no more than a few moments, and are ignored and given what I can only describe as judgemental and semi disgusted looks from both employees and the manager. She finally stops and asks if we were picking up and I told her, yes the mobile order you claim you don't have I your system. I say that because upon glancing at the order screen when I entered i see our mobile order second in the cue, and there were at least 6 cars behind us. So she makes it and puts it on the counter and walks off. Get home and start eating our order (sausage egg and cheese McMuffins) and the eggs weren't done...
Read moreForget about it if they screw up. Your the one that's bogus for asking them to fix it. I ordered a Big Mac and LG coffee. My coffee was mildly warm. I go in (originally ordered via drive through) and the lady looked busy, so I politely asked, could I please get a new coffee, this is barely warm. She looked at me like I asked her to run up Mt Everest for my coffee. Then she looked at the sticker and asked, we'll when did you get this. I said, I literally just pulled out of your drive through. She turns around and disappeared, comes back with a new coffee and before I can ask for a stir she turns around and walks away. There was customers at the counter waiting to order that she completely ignored. I went and got a straw to stir and when I tested it I noticed it didn't have enough sugar so I said excuse me a couple time which she ignored. Not to mention the people wanting to order were being ignored. These ladies didn't care. They were busy for sure BUT just because your busy doesn't give you the right to be rude, ignore your customers. I finally leaned over the counter and grabbed my own sugar, since they wanted to ignore me. I'm gonna get what I paid for and I had to get to work. You ladies chose to work there, you chose to work with people, you've got to get yourselves together. It's not our fault your busy, it's not our fault you guys made a mistake and handed out warm coffee. I'm on my way to work I don't have time to go warm up the coffee I paid for you guys to prepare for me. So I will not be returning. I'll go to the one on Grand and Greenbay because frankly I love McDonald's Arabian coffee beens. Super good coffee. This McDonald's sucks. There customer service sucks, there attitude sucks, their food sucks. Oh I forgot to tell ya my Big Mac was cold. The bread was hard and it was the lettuce was dry. I drive Uber/Lyft all over the entire Chicago area and often end up at McDonald's because of consistently clean restrooms, good service, and a consistent quality of food. Here was lacking service. I always order through the app for "counter pickup" as I walk in so the food can be prepared as I use the restroom. Often the food is ready by the time I am out. Not here. Well, it was busy, no worries. While my order was "processing", 2 people had to go back to the counter because of mistakes in their orders. Then suddenly my number disappeared from the screen. Ok, means my food will be next, right? Nope. Lady who ordered after me got hers first (and she was upset at the service and long wait). So I asked about mine. Apparently I was supposed to tell them I was there? Um, No, that is Not how this works. I was in the store when I placed my order, so the app goes straight to "We are preparing it now. You cannot cancel it." Also, I can Not tick any box "I am here" - because it does Not Exist. Every Other McDonalds in the Entire Chicago Area knows this and puts the food on the counter when it's ready. But here they expect the customer to be psychic and know that this store does Not Follow the Rules. The lady who was behind me had been watching the kitchen the entire time we were waiting.
