It all started on a cloudy Saturday, because love (and good hibachi) never waits for perfect weather. I walked into Osaka, not looking for anything serious. Just a little warmth, maybe a bowl of ramen, and a seat where I could quietly judge other peopleās chopstick skills. But then⦠it happened. The Korean Tacos made their entrance saucy, and a little rebellious. It didnāt belong to the taco⦠and yet it did. The kind of meal your mom doesnāt approve of, but your tastebuds canāt help but fall for. They were bold, messy, unforgettable. I was the good guy in this rom-com, and the Korean tacos? Oh, she was the bad girl that wanted me. And yes after today I will be buying a leather jacket. Because Iām the new bad boy in town now. Just when I thought my heart had peaked in flavor, the 3 Meat Combo walked in like it owned the place. Chicken, steak, and shrimp seasoned like a porta-potty at a chili cook-off in august and grilled to perfection. I didnāt stand a chance. We shared a moment⦠maybe several⦠and suddenly, this wasnāt just dinner. This was destiny. This was love. This was a glimpse of glory. And of course, no love story is complete without a slightly awkward characterā¦Mango Boba has entered the chatā¦. It was sweet, chill, and tried its best. Not quite the scene stealer, but definitely earned a slight applause. Like that wierd best friend whoās just⦠there for the vibes. Osaka, you got me. Iāll be coming back for a sequel. Maybe even bring my future wife next time, unless Iām not ready to share my...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI recently discovered Osaka last weekend, a hidden gem tucked away in a shopping center, and I canāt stop thinking about the delicious broth. This cozy little spot may not look like much from the outside, but once you step in, youāre greeted by an inviting atmosphere that instantly feels warm and welcoming. With traditional Japanese animation playing on the TV.
The star of the show, of course, is the ramen. Every bowl is crafted with care and bursting with flavor. I ordered the Red Tonkotsu Ramen, and it was simply amazing. The broth was rich and savory, with layers of depth that made each sip more satisfying than the last. The noodles were cooked to perfectionāspringy and just the right amount of chewiness. The toppings, from tender slices of pork, to fresh scallions, seaweed and the egg brought me back to the Ramen I fell in love with in OKC.
The menu has a variety of options, catering to different tastes and preferences, so thereās something for everyone to enjoy. I also ordered the Thai tea boba, it was delicious!!
The service was friendly and efficient, making the dining experience even better. Despite the small size of the restaurant, the ambiance is lively, filled with the sounds of slurping noodles and satisfied diners.
If youāre in the mood for amazing ramen, I highly recommend checking out this place. Donāt let the unassuming location fool you; this place serves some of the best ramen youāll find. I canāt wait to return and try more dishes...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreFINALLY a fantastic ramen joint in SE Wisconsin. I've been to virtually every ramen shop in the area and I've never really been blown away by any compared to places I've been in cities all over the country. While I'd say this is the best ramen joint around, there's still room to improve.
The Red Tonkotsu I had was very good. The spice level was quite nice and the homemade Tonkotsu broth had a wonderful viscosity.
My daughter had the Miso to keep it simple. Simple, but well executed Miso with the correct type of thinner wavy ramen.
The things I'd like to see improved are:
Please please attempt a noodle fold. The ingredients are thoughtfully placed, but it looks sloppy with the noodles just dumped in the bowl. The noodle fold doesn't need to be perfect but any attempt will be an improvement.
Last, give me both halves of the egg please.
I took my daughter there for lunch on a Sunday and we were the first customers. By the time we were finished there was a line of people waiting inside the restaurant. I love seeing a line at a ramen place around here. That's how it should be.
Please support this place because I can tell they care and are doing it right. On my way...
