Spring City Restaurant — Restaurant in Waukesha

Very disappointed. Called this place to have food made and delivered at a certain time for my brother-in-law who just had a baby 24 hours earlier. Wanted it to be taken care of to make his life easier. Woman on the phone said it would be taken care of and good to go. 20 minutes after it was supposed to be delivered, food had not arrived. Called the store, woman on the phone said no driver showed up and the food was sitting there.

So my food was 20 minutes old, getting cold, no driver still picking it up, and hadnt made the 20 minute drive to the apartment. Began to act like it was my fault.

Please do not offer delivery if you are using a 3rd party system. Or if you are going to, how about confirming the driver first, and then cooking the food? I could have easily just had my brother-in-law pick up the food and timed it so he would have had the freshest food possible.

Very disappointed that this happened, and feel bad for my brother-in-law who must now leave spending time with his newborn to go pick up food that was meant to be delivered.

EDIT IN RESPONSE TO OWNER: The fact that I did order it from a different time zone was true. And what was stated to the woman on the phone was "I messed up because I am in pacific time and I need it 5:30 your time" very clearly. She then told me multiple times that she would have it ready. Never once did she hint that "she was under the impression that I wanted it at the scheduled time". Because then I called at 5:45 your time and she said 'it is ready and we are waiting for a delivery driver to be dispatched". So that statement alone contradicts what you are saying with the "scheduled time".

When I called at 5:45 your time, I was told that "No driver has been dispatched. We are waiting on one to be dispatched". I then clearly stated "So the food has been waiting for almost 20 minutes, still waiting unknown amount of time for a driver, then another 10-20 for delivery", to which she acknowledged was happening. So you stating that one was dispatched was again, not relayed to me, contradicting what you are saying.

You then go on to say that "it is now on the delivery service to bring the food", don't you think its the restaurants duty to time it properly so the food is as fresh and hot as it can be? Wouldn't you double check to make sure a delivery driver is available first before? Or call the customer and them know that food might be late? There are plenty of other options available instead of blaming the delivery service.

I hope this sheds light on this, and hope you guys do not blame other people for your actions.

I Was there for a fish fry 5/17/24 The fish was horrible. Very small tiny portion size and the breading was nasty. The batter tasted like it was old or bad bread crumbs, the fish under all the nasty batter was good. A 4 piece fish fry should be 4 pieces. not 1 normal size piece cut in 4's. Very over priced which included the WORST French fry's, just nasty, all batter and ZERO potato. 2 bites of coleslaw (very bad) and a STALE dinner roll. WAKE up owner of this BAD food place and visit other Friday fish fry's in your area, ALL others have way BIGGER pieces, not battered in pukeable old nasty bread crumbs and most ALL have a lower price and you definitely GET MORE FOOD. This was my 1st time going to your restaurant / Bar? I will NEVER BE BACK AND WILL TELL OTHERS TO STEER CLEAR OF THE BAD FOOD AND STUPIDLY HIGH PRICES. Disrespectful is the "person" who answered this review. I was at your restaurant and have the receipt to prove it. Everything I say about any place is true and to the point. If a restaurant has bad food, bad service and high prices people need to know. The person who joined me said "this was a great fish fry years ago" We both let the waitress know how bad things were multiple times and her only response each time was "um ok" The person who said I targeted this place is clearly ignorant, if you dont want reviews then take it off your website. Maybe you should look at your many "bad" reviews especially the MANY on your bad fish fry's. Also to say your fried fish has no batter again you are clueless. In order to fry the fish you either roll it in batter or bread crumbs, ANYONE knows this, again extremely ignorant. The high prices you charge and the TINY portions you give and low quality food your giving to the customer is pathetic. Measure all you want, you cut back on quantity and quality and raise the price to put more money in your pocket. I have NEVER had such a rude and ignorant reply EVER!!! It is my right to send a review and say what I experienced in REAL LIFE , not the dream world your living in. If you are the "manager" you need to be FIRED . If your the owner you need to get out and visit the quality food places that give there customers quality food at fair prices and do NOT ATTACK the person who give a true 100%...

This restaurant is HORRIBLE. 3 of us ordered prime rib and ordered it medium rare. When we got our prime rib it was well done. The waitress took it back and said the owner said he was unable to make it medium rare and to order something else. I just wanted to leave after that and didn't even order anything else but the owner charged us for our baked potatoes, soup and salad that came with the meal. Mind you, the baked potatoes were barely even eaten. I went over and talked with the owner and he argued with me telling me we costed him $30 in prime rib because it wasn't to our liking. I continued to tell him that we ordered it a certain way and expect it to be that way. He still couldn't tell me how he couldn't make it medium rare before making it to well done but that just shows the type of person he is. He is only worried about his bottom dollar. We paid our bill and my family and I will NOT be returning there anymore. We used to love this place but it is going downhill quickly. The disrespect to customers and rudeness of the owner is horrible. I will stick to higher chain restaurants because I know I will be treated as an individual, not a dollar sign. AND this business isn't listed on the BBB website nor is it registered with the Wisconsin Department of Financial Institutions. Goes to show you what type of "business" they...
