Rox Bar & Grille is, hands down, our favorite place in Waukesha.

My wife Haley and I have been coming here since our second date, and it’s been our go-to spot ever since. As a gay couple, feeling truly welcome isn't always a given — but at Rox, we’ve always been treated like family. This place is inclusive, kind, and just plain awesome. Accepting of all views and beliefs regardless of what they are, without openly pushing beliefs onto you.

The staff? Absolutely legendary.

Julie is our bar mom. She's been cheering us on as a couple since day one, and we love her deeply. She truly cares about her customers, and it shows every time we see her.

Amanda is the ray of sunshine everyone needs. No matter the day, she lifts your spirits and keeps the energy high — all while being excellent at what she does.

Iris is no-nonsense and all heart. She's an absolute powerhouse behind the bar and clearly gives 110% every single shift.

Pano is the up-and-comer to watch. Friendly, driven, and already a star — he's the future face of Rox, no doubt (sorry Dino and Hari 😄). Oh, and yeah, he's young and handsome — bonus points!

Rosa is the definition of dependable. She treats her regulars like family and always seems to know exactly what you need before you say it.

Raoul is the man. Always welcoming, always cool — he treats us like we’re longtime friends, and that kind of warmth sticks with you.

Mandy? Mandy makes the sh*t run. Organized, sharp, and essential. Everyone needs a Mandy in their lives.

Dino and Hari — you’re the foundation of this whole place. Nothing more needs to be said — you two are just f*ing amazing.

Beyond the staff, Rox has everything: karaoke nights, live music (Ryan McIntyre on Thursdays is our fav!), darts, gambling machines, and killer drink specials.

The food? Wildly underrated. It’s high-quality across the board. The gyro pizza and gyro nachos are our top picks, but we also love the reubens, wings, spinach & artichoke dip with pita, turkey bacon wrap, crispy fries, and those perfectly extra crispy tots. Honestly, we could go on and on. And don’t forget — Spring City Restaurant is right next door and part of the same amazing family.

There was a great male bartender working last Saturday Night, took good care of us, we got an appetizer and two drinks. Was satisfying, up until a woman bartender comes up to me to tell me a customer was complaining about me being too loud. I do have a louder speaking voice but by no means was i yelling or being any louder than the music playing in the bar, it was 930 at night. I tell the woman that I was sorry to inconvenience anybody and that if I was a problem I would quiet down, right after making that remark, a woman 2 seats down from me decides to remark "That was me...etc" She then proceeded to start making rude comments, and I again apologize. This woman complaining was wearing headphones and listening to her iPod, so I was slightly confused of that matter,

20 minutes later a friend of mine was having a normal conversation with me and I was barely saying a word, this woman again starts to make threats towards us, that we were talking about her when we weren't and that she was going to "take me outside". Me and my friend were confused and then just decided to close our tab since none of the staff could stand up for us or even try to convince us to stay, or ask this woman politely to leave for starting trouble.

Only thing that would make me come back to this place, was the male bartender who then chased us out to the parking lot to apologize for the situation. It's too bad not all bartenders are like him, and decide to favor the regulars instead. I have been working in service my whole life and I help run a barber shop and you always treat everybody with equality, new or existing customers. And you ask people to leave when they being irrational, so the environment stays comfortable for everybody. I wish I could remember that guy's name, but he deserves a raise, and the the other bartender needs to learn a bit of customer service, because I may never come back to this place, and it's a shame. We came after work, ordered drinks & appetizers. The spinach artichoke dip was clearly sparse, maybe about 3-4 tablespoons of dip in a tiny bowl and about 40 chips. We expressed our disappointment to the bartender, who brought over a manager-type person. He explained the portion system, and when we commented about how many chips there were compared to the dip, he rudely said he could "take some chips away". After that, we told him to take the appetizer away. No apology, no acknowledgement, nothing. And continued to laugh & joke with other tables. Sad, unfortunate, and unprofessional. With so many bars & restaurants struggling, treating customers that way is a very poor choice. Addition: It appears the owner is confused as to the reference of "laughing" with other tables. To be clear, deciding not to apologize directly after customers are upset, and carrying on as if nothing happened is offensive.
