I stood in line and watched as people were served food and smiles. For some reason my two burritos, one bowl order was too much? I did not get any smiles like the 4 people ahead of me and two people behind me. I smiled when I was up to order, but I stopped smiling once the guys SHOWED they were annoyed. I could not tell what they were so annoyed by because they started to whisper to each other in Spanish. This is the second time it's happened. I did have one burrito double- wrapped. The second guy didn't understand that. I have never had a problem ordering this way at another location. In fact, I was told by an employee that I should order the double-wrapped burrito to avoid spillage because my son likes double meat. I didn't write a review the first time because I thought the guys were just tired, but these same guys treated me the same way. Maybe they did not like that I placed a larger order than just one bowl or burrito like everyone else. (I like to go into the stores so I can look at the food before I order. I don't place online orders, but I have never had a problem going into a store with my order.) I wish I had the guys names, because there really are some great bubbly people that work there. I don't want people thinking all the people working there are like this. My family moved to the area from Menomonee Falls, and I was excited there was a Q'dubs by the house because we go 3-5 times a month. Read moreI have been to this location many times. I will be 100% honest I personally do not enjoy food from Qdoba period. I prefer other restaurants in this category over Qdoba and would choose them. I go to eat at Qdoba with my mom because she enjoys it. With that said, every time we go to this location the service and food have much to be desired. Tonight was no different in those areas; however, in the food safety area, there were a couple MAJOR issues.
I'm not just complaining either, I have a professional academic background in culinary, have taught culinary and worked in foodservice in many roles over the past 20 years. I also have earned my ServSafe certification from the Wisconsin Restaurant Association, which I assume, this location should have employees that are certified as well. From my side of the counter, there were quite a number of issues but the following are two major ones that I just cannot overlook. The employee making my food was not wearing a head covering (doesn't matter that he is bald) OR a beard net. His beard was grown out about 5in past his chin. Not wearing a beard net is completely unacceptable! Also, two other employees were not wearing head coverings while making food on the line. This included the manager on duty. Restaurants that do not comply with basic food safety practices are not places I would recommend eating at. Read moreThis restaurant honked me off today. NO chips with a burrito bowl?!? Whaaaat? Qdoba is really the only 'fast'food restaurant I can eat at due to so many varying allergies. So needless to say, I go to Qdoba A LOT. Never until today have I been told that a meatless burrito bowl is a 'salad' (according to the cashier gal) & it does NOT come with chips. Seriously, a $10 meatless meal & you're squabbling over a half a bag of chips that you most likely throw out at the end of the day? And I was told for the first time that 3 scoops of the 'unlimited' guac would be a $1 upcharge (it's THE best form of good fat I eat-I mean really with allergies you take as much of what you CAN eat seriously! lol). The guy helping me had to ask the mgr when I pointed to that mgr that he always rings me up & he has never charged me for the upcharge of 3 scoops. The mgr confirmed yes, anything OVER 3 is an upcharge but not 3...news to me. The 2 people who helped me today were new & were certainly friendly but to have 2 NEW never-heard-of-issues after going there & getting the same thing for over 2 years really honked me off.
