I kept hearing about this place. For years and years to the point where it became annoying. I finally tried it. Was a good sign it took an hour for my pickup (meaning they were busy). Once I got there, waiting for my order to be ready, it was pie after pie after pie coming out of that oven. Like moths to a flame, people making their way in. Only 6 or 8 people were sested at tables but they were cranking em out for pick up. And now I know why, I can understand why I kept hearing about it. It's fantastic. The cheese, the sauce, the crust, the size of the pizza and how they cut it into tiny little squares in what I would describe as open faced pizza puffs but delicious. We ordered take out most of the time so I can only comment on how that was a couple months ago. The service, Atmosphere, and food have always been A 1. We have been getting Sams pizza for about 20 years it has always been wonderful. I don’t remember a time it hasn’t. My grand kids alway request to have their birthday parties here they love Sams also. The service at the parties is wonderful. Pizzas come out hot and yummy. If you have never tried Sams you must. Every bit is full of just the right amount of sauce cheese and what ever toppings you order. They even carried it out for us as Mike walks with a cane. Thanks Sams for always...

The main pizza restaurant of my childhood, teen years, and even today though I live hundreds of miles away. The pizzas have not changed in at least 60 years, and I hope it stays that way forever! The pizzaiola is a great guy named Shea. He has been heading the pizza crew for many many years, and has perhaps another 20 to do the same. It's tavern style meaning thin crust round cut and squares, and this guy knows how to make pizza!!! It's on the west side of Wausau and rather centrally located.
