Dos Juanitos mexican food — Restaurant in Waxahachie

Visited on this past Thursday and got the Carne asada, which was a good portion size and very flavorful. I ordered the California Burrito, to go - for lunch the next day, and it was pretty good.

I made the 30 minute trip from Dallas, because of my previous experience, to try the Super Nachos...and get another California Burrito. The nachos were made of the same tortillo chips that come with the complimentary chips and salsa, which are quite thin. The grilled chicken was good but accompanied by beans, cheese, and pico, made the tortilla chips soggy. My plate was a mess within seconds of eating.

The staff seems friendly, but I noticed that the young lady who waited on me, took my order, brought my food to me, and then never stopped by to check on me, even though I was only one of two customers in the restaurant on Thursday night. She did the same thing on Saturday night, even with my being right next to another table she was working. I had to get her attention to order my burrito to go.

I was only in town for a trucking orientation and saw the great reviews on Yelp, so I took a chance on this place. If I'm in town, I'd try them again, but I won't get nachos unless they use thicker...

First time to this establishment and it was a late lunch...3pm on Tuesday. Just happened to be taco Tuesday here as well as other locations so I ordered the 5 mini taco plate of any choice meat which was lengua and barbacoa tacos. These tacos were really good and filled. My wife had the same plate but with carne asad and some with chicken. She was very pleased with the flavor as well. Ordered chips and salsa which was extra. The chips n salsa was good 👍. I ordered a side of charro beans but they were regular pinto beans in a cup, but were flavored very well. They offer a condiment stand for extra items to add to your food. The offer fountain drinks as well as Mexican soda bottles. The restaurant was clean and spacious. I would like to also add that I have been to some Mexican restaurants where the spices travel within the restaurant and start burning my eyes. Not here...plenty of cooking going on but no issues. They are very friendly staff. Recommend...

We've been to Dos Juanitos twice this week. The food is delicious and the staff extremely helpful and friendly. We have spoken to the owner a couple times and he truly cares about making things the best he can. If anything is wrong, he wants it fixed right away. If anything is being done well, he wants to know that too. The amount of food you get for the price is a great value. You won't leave hungry.

Our only concern was the seating. For as busy as they have been, there are people standing in line to order and it makes it very tight in the seating section. Anyone sitting on the side of where the line to order is will be bumped several times and have people literally standing over you while you eat. The space between the tables is very tight as well. Where was sat was not next to the ordering line and the person sitting next to the walking area was hit every time someone walked by.
