Taco Suave — Restaurant in Waxahachie

First off, the name has been changed to Tacos Suave. Food Review:

First off, if you are looking for a VERY GOOD Taco Shop, you have hit the jackpot. Today my wife and I invited our friends to dinner, and we brought them here. I asked "Geo " what kind of MEATS do they have, he said that his mom prepares all the meats, beans ( WHITCH WERE DELICIOUS ).

They offer the following meats: Beef Fajita meat ( Carne Asada ) Chicken ( Grilled ) Chorizo ( Mexican Spicy Sausage ) Guisada ( Carne Asada in a spicy sauce ) Chicharrõn in Green Sauce Al Pastor ( Meat & Onions cooked and Shaved to order ) Barbacoa ( BBQ STYLE )

They also offer: Mexican Style Corn off the cob mixed with Mexican Sour Cream, Mexican Mayonnaise, Cotija Cheese and Chilli Powder.

Quesadillas filled with cheese. You can also ask for it to be filled with any of the meats they offer.

Also " CHARRO BEANS ". The beans are simmered with chopped up Jalapenos and green onions. ( WHICH WERE ALSO DELICIOUS ).

Everyone placed their orders. Between the 4 of us, we ordered over 20 Tacos ( Different kinds of Meats, 3 Quesadillas and The Mexican Style Corn & 1 Bean & Cheese burrito, which weighed around 1 pound.

Geo was pumping out the Tacos, the Quesadillas & Burrito in no time. By the time we finished eating, we were stuffed.

Geo brings the Dreaded "Check". Mind you, that there were 20 Tacos, 3 Quesadillas & 2 Corn cups. At any Mexican Restaurant that amount of food would cost around $100.00 for the entire check. But ours came to $60.38.

To say the least, we will be back again and again and again and again and again and again and again and again!!!! Sorry, got...

My husband and I ordered from here on 2/23/2024. We ordered 2 birria tacos, 10 chicken tacos and an order of nachos. Our total was $47.62. We waited about 35 minutes for our order. All of the tacos were so small. I mean like the size of a mini Logitech mouse small.

I went back to the window because the “birria” tacos were not birria tacos at all. There was no red sauce, no melted cheese. I informed the young man at the window about this and he walked over to the guy on the grill to tell him about it. The guy in the grill threw his hands in the air like he was upset. I waited another 15 minutes only to get the same tacos back. They never made the order again or corrected their mistake. The “birria” sauce was watered down with absolutely no taste. They lied and gave me the same old unbirria tacos. I’ve attached pictures of the birria tacos that I received that night along with birria taco pictures from their Instagram page. Please note the ones that I received do not look like what was on their Instagram page.

The chicken nachos were good, but I asked for the toppings to be on the side. I never got the guacamole or anything else that was supposed to go on the top.

I was and still is very disappointed that we drove over 15 miles, waited 35 minutes, and paid over $47.00 for such a small portion of food.

They have a nice location that is surrounded by trees and they have ample outside seating.

Needless to say what was once a favorite spot of mine, I will no longer be visiting. If I was tacos, I’ll go...

I really wanted to share a cool story with you today. I was trying to find a place to get something to eat at lunch. I was driving around but not having luck. I saw Taco Suave and quickly pulled in as I could see they were open. I went to order but to my disappointment they informed me very nicely they were only open for catering appointments that had already been booked.

I figured at that point I would continue my search but the guy reach out and said hold on. He said he had some left over meat from the prepping they had done. He said to hold on and he would hook me up. I was not sure how as I had not ordered anything yet.

After a few minutes he handed me a plate of delicious looking tacos. I said thank you and asked how much I owed them and to my surprise once again he said no. I said I was willing to pay but he would have none of that and wished me a happy new year.

Look I believe too many people think the world is going to garbage. To a certain extent by here are lots of issues but it's people that cause it. Today I experience the true goodness in America. Today I witnessed individuals that would not be part of a problem but to become part of the solution. I saw hard working people just looking out for another with no expectation. Today I saw great Americans just trying to be kind to another. Today midyear could not have started any better and I owe it to them to ensure I remember that and continue to do the same.
