Best subs available in the area. It's nice to be greeted as you enter; makes me feel like they actually saw me, are glad to see me, and I might get served in a timely fashion. So far, I have been. Met the owners soon after opening. They greeted me like I was an old friend; they still do. I've tried at least half the menu, love them all, hard to declare a favorite. An incredible number of drink choices from the drink fountain, but my favorite is the cherry limeade. Get it sparkling or not (I mix them) and add a few lime squeezes. So pleasant and refreshing. There's a large selection of sauces, if you want extra on your sub, some spicy hot, some suicidal, some plain good. Be sure to grab a bag of chips and pick up a cookie for dessert. The food and service are always great; the price is right; the restrooms are clean and stocked; the dining area is clean and stocked with TVs carrying the latest sports events; but one the greatest attractions is how Firehouse gives back to the community by supporting our local emergency services. Their contributions have protected our public servants and helped save the lives of numerous citizens. I'll gladly support a local business that displays that kind of concern for me and my...
Read moreThe staff is very nice and the food is good. However, we have gone to this location about 7 or 8 times since moving here. At least 5 times our food has been wrong. Tonight I ordered 2 of the same sandwich, one without Mayo. They got that one right but put only meat and mayo on the second one. We had to add cheese when we got home. This same sort of thing happens almost every time. We check the bag for no mayo, but not making sure every ingredient is on the other sub. We will go in from now on which defeats the purpose of having a drive thru, and probably won't go as often. Making food correctly, customer service, and providing a service is their job. This place must have bad management.
As an update, we've been back here a few more times and ended up with our order messed up at least one of those times. However, now we just can't eat here at all because they don't offer gluten free bread. I also have an intolerance to dairy. It would really be nice if allergen free options were pursued. Many can't have at least one, but usually more, of the top 8 allergens. My favorite thing here was the meatball sub. This could be gluten free if the meatballs were made with GF oats. Here's to wishing food was a...
Read moreOverall a good visit. We got there around 11:45 am but the dining room had already seen some wear and tear because none of the tables were without crumbs or debris except the 2 person tables. There were five people who were waiting for their food already. Our orders were taken fairly quickly by a helpful cashier and we waited about 7 or 8 minutes there about before we got our food. During that time we made our drinks, got napkins, and ate our chips. Our sandwiches were made as ordered and delicious. The interior of the restaurant was much cooler than I expected, possibly because it was a rainy day. (Temp was 67 with thermostat set at 70....it was on the wall and fairly easy to see). If the dining room tables would have been clean and wiped down it would have been a better...
