Here now been waiting for an appetizer for 30 minutes.... donât have anything to do so I figure Iâd write a review. We waited 45 minutes to even be seated which is understandable on a Friday night. No big deal the server we have (Iâll get her name in a few) carded both of us I didnât have my ID so I didnât get a drink I commend her for doing her job.... until I noticed I was the only one of her tables carded I asked the two tables next to me if they were carded they said no, so now I will be the first to admit I was a little upset. I looked around again and noticed I was the only African-American in the establishment. So the server comes back around and I order âThe Eggâ burger and she asks how I would like it done, I stated âthe normal way is fineâ she said âI mean how did you want the meat cookedâ I say well no particular way just the usual way just not bloody, she then was very rude about explaining the differences I usually donât eat meat so I wasnât educated in the differences. So she leave I wanted to complain to the manager and I went to the front and asked the host donât know his name but he worked Friday at 6 12/8 he seemed to be an okay guy but when I asked for a manager.... one sec food just came gonna eat real quick ok the food was decent and another African American walked in I watched and she ID him as well and this guy has a gray gotee LOL then a while family sat down and none of them were carded. I asked them then they said they were regulars. Ok back to where I was he then said the manger may not have time to talk to guests, which I thought that was rude because we are paying customers well I gtg long story short never going back and if youâre...
Read moreOur first time here and the service was excellent. I noticed even the host was providing amazing service by cleaning off empty tables to seat the waiting customers as quickly and efficiently as possible, and I loved it!! That is not something you see nowadays. Their beer cheese soup du jour was delicious! However, my friend and I both ordered fettuccine alfredo from the Make Your Own Pasta menu and it was not delicious. The sauce was ridiculously watery and thin with no flavor. We both agreed we are willing to return based on the service alone and with the thought that since they make everything from scratch, maybe the cook just had an off day! The atmosphere was pleasant, it had a sports vibe but still felt welcoming for all. I loved that it wasn't so loud that we couldn't hear each other's conversation. I'll add that although the space is smaller than most restaurants due to being in the strip mall, it manages to feel nice & cozy rather than too small. Lastly, for any interested, there is a small closed off casino right off the entrance with a cool set of...
Read moreThe food and service, always consistently great. Their unwavering connection to local schools and sports is incredible. For me and my family, that is #1. I moved here in 2004, and we have kept my wife's connection to TC's all the way through, even when we lived in the Twin Cities, Georgia, Iowa, Florida, and Wisconsin. The best booth, in my humble opinion, is the southeastern most booth with the greatest teams in South Dakota history on display. Every seat in the house is great. If you have the chance, try that booth (and the cajun chicken, wrap, soups, salads, specials,...any and all of the menu) and find your own unique experience with a great local restaurant, rooted in the past and promoting the future. ...
