Love Marlow — Local services in Wayne Township

My wife had a really really awful experience with this business. They were super rude and unwilling to help her find clothing based off of her style preferences. If you’re looking to feel comfortable while shopping, this place is not. it. There are plenty of other plus size/lgbtq friendly stores around town to give your business to.

Edit: The fact that you’re going to sit here and threaten legal action rather than apologize for being rude is just not it. She was literally crying in the dressing room…I see you making excuses for your rude behavior on reviews other than the one connected to this incident as well. Talk about a bad look.

Final edit: You can try to convince yourselves that you handled the situation with professionalism and respect, but when you have someone crying in the dressing room, you clearly missed the mark somewhere. Even if your intentions weren’t to be disrespectful, your impact was. Sounds like you have some reflecting to do. I really hope you guys are able to learn something from this and treat people better moving forward because this isn’t the first time people have been disrespected in your store but hopefully it can be one...

I had the absolute best time visiting Love Marlow! I was in town from Iowa and had been wanting to visit their store since last year (I had found them online when googling plus-sized shopping in Sioux Falls). I haven't had the best experiences the past couple of years shopping for clothes in my size, especially in-store shopping with boutique-level fashion. My shopping experience at Love Marlow restored my faith and trust in the idea that everyone & every body deserves to feel fabulous, appreciated and confident! The 2 owners of the store were amazing - they made me feel heard, validated, gave excellent styling and sizing tips, and provided a shopping experience that was a perfect blend of glamorous plus cozy. I didn't dread trying on clothes by the end of my visit due to their kindness, knowledge, and attentiveness. I especially loved how many options there were in-store to try on - in various patterns, cuts, colors, etc - which for my size in the rural midwest is so so rare! Shopping at this plus-size retail store is an absolute joy! Every time I walk through the door, I’m greeted by some of the kindest, most encouraging women you could hope to meet. The staff goes above and beyond to make you feel confident, beautiful, and totally seen. And their eye for styling? Spot on. There have been multiple times I walked in thinking, “That’s cute, but not for me,” only to have one of the ladies suggest I try it, and I ended up loving it! They know how to find pieces that not only fit well but flatter and feel amazing. On my most recent visit, I was thrilled to see they started carrying size medium in one of my favorite dress brands. Such a thoughtful addition that makes me even more excited to return. I always leave feeling better than when I walked in. I’ve recommended this store to so many of my friends and family!
