By far the worst experience of my life with a hotel and its staff. We booked a room from the hotel service desk on Friday for two nights, all communications were good and we were confirmed price of approximately $534 for 2 nights stay. We moved into our room and settled down since we were exhausted from work, drive and our dog recently had a surgery. Next morning after breakfast, the room service people knocked up at our door asking if we were continuing to stay at this room. We told them that we had this room for the day and checking out next day; and called the front desk to confirm. The lady on the phone (front desk) confirmed that the stay has been extended and it was their communication mistake or some error at their end. She confirmed the stay with the room number. An hour later, service people knocked again and this time we went at the front desk to see what the issue was. I waited at the desk while the service desk lady was on her mobile phone. After she was done I explained her the situation; she told us we only had a one night stay and will have to check out. Not to mention all this was coming out of her in a very rude & manner less way. Her gestures were not welcoming, she had rude responses and wasn't really interested to help. After speaking to the manager and spending about 10 minutes on her computer typing something, she responded (after we asked) that she cannot do anything and the rooms were full. We requested access to the room for another 20 minutes to pick up our luggage and moved to another hotel. My issue with this hotel and the staff is mentioned in a TLDR version below: Rude front Desk staff (Showed signs of Racism) Rooms were very small, congested; dust and molds falling from exhaust fan in the restroom and bedroom. I do have pictures and videos from the room (attached). Dust and mold fall on you in the restroom and you can actually taste the mold in your mouth as soon as you breathe it in.
We selected this hotel since it was a pet friendly hotel and from our past experiences with Marriott we were confident that our stay will be pleasant. I have never expected such negligence from a hotel group with a reputed brand name. We did get a refund from the manager for the night we stayed, but we don't think this helped in anyway with the kind of experience we had.
That said, we are in communication with Marriott corporate center for this issue and are also planning to take this issue to multiple social media and Best Business Bureau with the pictures, experience and other...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreALL I CAN SAY IS BEWARE & this is a long review, but you need to read it! We stayed in room 225 at this hotel on 10/10/24. The a/c for a suite is not ideal with the little fan built into the wall that makes a lot of noise but doesn't move much air. It looked like some repairs/updates had been made, but the chair in the main area was pretty gross & it really needs to be replaced. Whoever installed the faucet in the bathroom needs to be fired. The water runs so close to the edge of the sink that you can't even get your hands under the water to wash them. We were willing to overlook these issues, but NOT THE COCKROACHES! The morning of 10/11/24, we saw something move in the kitchen area & low & behold there were cockroaches (I looked the room over upon check in & did not see anything). We could not wait to get out of there. We reported this to the front desk clerk & showed him a photo. We got a "I am so sorry about that & thank you for making us aware of this" which did not make us feel any better after sleeping in there & we were hoping we didn't take anything into our vehicle or home with us. Due to the nonchalant response, we reached out to Marriott & also completed the email survey that we received. We received an email 4 days later asking for the photo so we sent the photo & got a response back saying "ew" & that they would be back to us the end of that day. It is now over a week later & we have never heard back from her. We received an email from a Marriott Care Team person (a week after this experience) & let them know this as well. What did we get for all of this - 5,000 Marriott reward points (& almost 2 weeks after this whole nightmare).... I don't know what would have made this right or what we were expecting, but 5,000 Marriott reward points was NOT IT! So, beware if you choose to stay at...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI had what Iād call a negative interaction with your employee Jason, when I called in to ask about an online booking and using my government rate.
He seemed bothered by the call and when I explained there seemed to be an issue with the phone on his end, he was a bit condescending.
Then after our first night there (celebrating our anniversary and engagement) as I proposed shortly before going to check in. We drove from Omaha.
The lady who greeted us was extremely sweet and helpful. However, upon entering the room there was a musty smell and the red chair in the room was stained.
2nd night, we were arriving from dinner and we noticed a charge of $390 (after seeing our pending charge) so we asked to make sure we were getting the correct rate, since no one asked to see my id.
Jason was the person at the front desk, when asking him. He spoke to us in a very condescending way and seemed bothered by us asking and instead of going back and forth I decided to just go to our room.
The next night, the toilet was clogged. I called the front desk asking for some help, the receptionist said maintenance should be in shortly and heād let him know. This was at about 8pm give or take 30 mins.
We hear nothing back, so at about 10:30-11pm my lady went to the front desk, and was told maintenance wouldnāt be in til the morning. After this piece of information, he didnāt offer a plunge until my fiancĆ© asked for it.
Iāve never been to a hotel where they didnt offer a solution for such an urgent issue.
Iām really not one to make a complaint or detailed review, but Jasonās behavior towards us was extremely rude and based on reviews and advertised photos, along with previous Bonvoy stays, we thought we made a great choice for...
