We have a family tradition of going to Dairy Queen after concerts with my in-laws and have been going to the one on 57th due to having family on that part of town for some time with great customer service. Each time we easily drop over $100 on food there. After our issues with the Kiwanis store, we decided to try the 26th street store. They too told us that they were closing at 9 and that we had to leave by 9:15 pm. When we started to divy out food and start eating, we noticed we were short a cheeseburger from what we had ordered. The receipt was difficult to go through to determine what was ordered and we told the employees we were short a cheeseburger. They went back and forth and we could hear the manager in the background saying if we want another cheeseburger, we would have to pay for one. We didn't want "another" cheeseburger, we wanted the one we ordered. They eventually pointed out how many cheeseburgers we have and that it matches the receipt, which means the order taker made a mistake, however they did not see it that way and stuck to their guns on not comping a $2-$3 cheeseburger for a group that just paid well over $100 for food. Now, I can see taking this stance on a $10-$30 order, but for how much we paid?? Come on, make the situation right for the customer! On top of that, near the end of the meal, my mother in law went to eat her chill dog and saw the photo I have posted on this.... The chili was old and burnt! They show'd that to the employees and they just said sorry and made no attempt, whatsoever, to make things right. What happened to customer service, especially with the almost double prices of fast food lately.... I think that was the last time we are going to that store as well and will stick with the 57th street location. With big orders, things tend to go wrong or get missed, and that store has ALWAYS made things right, within reason of course. I'm not looking for any hand outs here, just some good customer service from employees that actually appreciate our business, is that too much...
Read moreWorst fast food experience of our lives. Ordered 3 plain cheeseburgers, 2 chicken sandwiches, 1 fry, 1 onion ring, and a chocolate shake. Sat down, waited 25 minutes before our food came out. Got our food served in a too go bad instead of on a tray, probably because of COVID. My kids opens their burgers, ketchup, mustard, and pickles. We were upset by this point already for waiting 25 minutes, my husband put the burgers on the counter, workers made up excuses the whole time, said it was because they got a rush, literally two other tables with people in the entire place. They told us we took all the fresh burgers, manager was absolutely horrible, one of the workers was on break making rude faces at me because we were upset with the service. Tried to get a refund, stood there another 10 minutes while they fumbled thru their computer, finally left without a refund or our burgers. And no apologize what so ever. My kids never got their food. Called for the refund, they said they couldn’t do it over the phone. After yelling back and forth with manager on the phone she finally said she would void the charge and told me we would not be served again. Charge still showing on my bank account. Would never even think of stepping foot in that Dairy...
Read moreI usually visit the DQ on Minnesota; however, I was running errands closer to home and went to this one on 26th ST. None of the clerks realized I was standing near the counter, but one finally saw me. He had been working diligently dipping the ice cream treats another worker was making. I asked for no onion, but he didn't hear me. I did throw him a curve after the order by asking whether fries are salted or unsalted and asking for unsalted. The young man immediately stepped to the cooking area and told them he needed the fries unsalted. My meal was brought to me, and I was asked when I would like my blizzard, then or later. I opted for later. I stepped to the counter after my meal and had to clear my throat to get the clerk's attention as they were still creating and dipping treats. Another clerk made my blizzard, which was supposed to be Smores but wasn't. It was soft-serve with Graham cracker crumbs and some chocolate pieces. He asked me a few minutes later how it was, and I said it was okay. I should have asked for it to be remade, but I didn't. I believe it would have been made correctly the next time. Overall, the store was clean and staff were friendly and...
