One star is too many. I will absolutely never order from Primo again, which is a shame since they just recently opened up by me and have several vegetarian options which are usually hard to find. First issue: I tried 3 times to place an order for 4 items on their site for delivery. Each time when I got to the end to check out there was an error and they emptied my cart, and it said I had to start over. That's 4 custom items.. very annoying to have to enter that many times. Second issue: I called the store to place the order over the phone and they told me I couldn't, they said they knew they were having issues with their site but couldn't help. So were they just losing a whole days worth of orders then since there's no way to put an order in otherwise?? They told me to place an order straight through Door Dash but I don't have an account, that was the only suggestion they could give me. I hang up and decide to see if I can place an order for pickup. I add one sandwich to my cart and it works all the way up to the checkout page, so I go ahead and add the rest of the custom order.. and again I get to the end and the same error pops up and my cart is empty. My coworker says he'll try it on his Door Dash account, fine, I was just trying to avoid involving anyone else. He successfully places the order. Third issue: The order arrives and every single item is missing all the toppings and dressings, even the toppings that are supposed to come standard. I call them again to let them know and this time there's no answer, why am I not surprised? This is the most miserable lunch we've ever had.. my sandwich is just cheese on bread. It's dry as anything without lettuce tomato onion or oil and vinegar. The bowl is literally just a bowl of meat with nothing else. What a disaster!! If you haven’t been to PrimoHoagies in Wayne, NJ, you’re seriously missing out. From the moment you walk in, the place smells like fresh-baked bread and spices — basically what heaven must smell like. The staff is always friendly, fast, and incredibly efficient, even when it’s busy (which it often is — for good reason!).

Now let’s talk about the food. Every hoagie I’ve tried here has been next-level good. The meats are always sliced fresh, the rolls are soft yet sturdy enough to handle all the delicious fillings, and the toppings are crisp, flavorful, and perfectly balanced. I highly recommend the Italian Diablo if you like a little heat, or the chicken cheesesteak if you’re looking for something hearty. And don’t sleep on their Sharp Italian — it’s a classic for a reason. The manager is super friendly! The staff is amazing!!!

Please avoid going here if you are in a rush. When we walked in there were only 3 people inside that had already placed their order. They took our order right away and were told it would take a few mins. IT TOOK 45 MINUTES! We ordered basic turkey and cheese small sandwiches. The wait time was ridiculous for what should be a simple, quick sandwich to make. Additionally, after already waiting for 25 mins, I asked the woman making the sandwiches how much longer for my order, she said she was making them now so only another minute or 2. LIES! She in fact was not making them and our order was made only once a new employee came in (i guess starting her shift) and SHE made them, not the woman i had originally asked. And we weren’t the only ones waiting a long time. Several people complained about the wait time.
