UPDATE Oct 2019: Another trip down to camp and enjoy the Blue Ridge Parkway, so I stopped in again at Ciro's pizza. A year later and the guys there still running the place like a well-oiled machine. My stromboli was awesome, once again. Maybe next time I'll try something else, I would imagine that everything there is probably delicious! They were also kind enough to let me charge my phone while I waited. Oct. 2018: Wow, 135 reviews and 4.9 stars brought me to this place while traveling south from PA and I absolutely agree with the wonderful reviews!! Most people rated the pizza, but this may have been the best stromboli I've had! Usually they're greasy, burned or only have 2-3 "toppings". After reading what all was in this, I knew it would fill me up. It was packed with 6 ingredients, all wrapped in delicious dough, and cooked to perfection!! Dough, cheese and meats tasted particularly awesome (I'd skip the mushrooms next time). The staff was friendly, everyone there was working, and about a dozen customers came in to pick up orders while I waited for mine to cook. If I lived nearby, I'd probably be in there several times a month trying every item on their menu. Highly recommend stopping in. 🤤 Well done guys! FIVE STARS!

There is a “Ciro’s” in Long Island NY. It has a world famous Sicilian pie that cannot be beat. But I’m not in NY. Going here on name alone, I decided to give it a try. Honestly I was a little skeptical, its in a defunked shopping center. Best pizza ever? No. Pretty darn good for this far south? Yes. Balance between cheese and sauce is very good. Crust is crunchy not chewy. Overall very good. Finally their value is excellent. Not over charging like the rest of the world. Thank you. My new pizza spot when I’m in the area.

I just found a gem! I recently moved to Waynesboro and have been looking for a place to get pizza. Ciro’s fear exceeded my expectations. Loved the crisp outer crust along with the chewiness when you bite into it. I sat in my car and ate three slices! That’s saying something! I cannot wait to come back and try a sub!

called their Stuart's Draft store and ordered 2 steak and cheese special subs(usually really great), told it would be 20 min, arrived to pickup my order, and was told it'd be just a few more minutes, was curious cause store didn't seem very busy. After waiting in the store for another 20 min, (total of 40 minutes since I ordered) I inquired what was the delay, they said "oh, it's ready in just a few minutes". In 5 more minutes they called my number and presented me with a pizza...but I ordered 2 subs. They looked around, dumbfounded and said they didn't have an order for 2 subs anywhere, and no, I'm sorry or anything. I was disgusted at waiting so long, while the young men appeared to be playing around in the back room...that I turned around and walked out. WILL NEVER return to this store again....doesn't even deserve a #1 but you have to rate or you cannot comment. BTW, there is another Ciro's in Waynesboro, that I usually go to, and the food and service is ALWAYS OUTSTANDING, has been there since I first moved to town in 1978, never have been disappointed....this store could take lessons in customer...

Anybody saying this place is on par with NY pizza has never been to NYC. Maybe we caught them on a bad day, but the whole meal I was waiting for the WOW moment that never happened which you’d expect with a restaurant rated near 5 stars. Maybe my palette is tainted from just returning from Italy, but if you picked this place up and dropped it in Naples, it would be a low 2 star restaurant.

We had a Sicilian pizza which was overly salted and kind of undercooked. It was also very greasy and lacked the flavor pop of a great Sicilian pizza.

My judge of almost any Italian restaurant is how well they do a Chicken Parm sub (except in Italy, because there is no such thing). The best sub is lightly breaded and deep fried and crispy with a solid sauce and fresh mozzarella. This was diced chicken pieces in sauce covered by what could only be bagged mozzarella. They don’t make fries, so that should have tipped me off that they don’t have a deep frier to make a solid parm cutlet.

Great people, great service, but a far cry from a near 5-star Italian pizzeria. Just trying...
