Blimpie — Restaurant in Waynesville

Staff is not professional at all. I tell the woman what I want, which was the blimpie best and add pepperoni. She then tells me that would make it a Sicilian. So I look at the menu again and and find it is not the same because the Sicillian lacks having capicola , which is on the sandwich I want if you add pepperoni. I tell her but she still continues to argue with me. So i I just say ro hell with it and get the Sicilian. Then the girl adding my toppings is too busy bullshitting with the lady in front of me about only God knows what to do her job and I'm just sitting there waiting for her to finish. She finally sees my aggravation and finishes up on my order. Then if things aren't bad enough I pay for my food and drink and return ro the interstate to continue working and drink a drink of my tea only to find that it is spoiled. So needless to say i will never return to this place. Someone needs to manage this blimpie correctly and hire a better knowledgeable staff that cares about what the customer wants in what they are paying for. This would have gotten a no stars rating had there been the option to do so. Get it...

We were really excited to try Blimpie since the amount of locations are pretty low compared to Jersey Mike's or Subway. I ordered online and ordered the Hoboken Hero before driving over to the location. We went inside and got our sub pretty quickly, it was already made and ready by the time we got there. The person who was working was very nice, but I was disappointed by the sub. The fillings for it were very thin compared to the size of the bread, as you can see from my photos. From one side, the sandwich looks pretty decent, but the bread was overwhelming. It also tasted very plain. I liked the oil and vinegar on it, but it felt like the bread did not have a lot of salt or seasoning on it. It was also not cheap for this sandwich- so that added to the disappointment. I do not think I would come here again. Jersey Mike's or even Subway is better, which I was surprised...

The owners are a local family who don’t just take care of their paying customers and their staff by providing fresh ingredients & a welcoming atmosphere but they take care of their community, as well. I have witnessed this location raise funds for an employee‘s family after she tragically passed, sponsor the local disc golf community, raise money for flood victims and provide food to the volunteers free of charge, and most recently answer the call to sponsor a child at a school near them by providing Christmas gifts. They are not just locally owned but are working diligently to improve the community around them and take care of other locals.
