The best medicine! On a road trip with my 2 grown kiddos, and I was tasked with finding fuel for the drive. I decided on a short detour from I40 to honor our mission to support local. We were all pleasantly impressed, score for this mama! One French press with oat milk for myself, a French press with cream for my son, and a strawberry shortcake oatmeal iced latte half sweet for my daughter. You can guess the coffee snob. And you can trust her taste. A barista herself, she noticed even half sweet was very sweet so keep that in mind. We also got bagels. Maybe the best bagel in Oklahoma! Comparable to New York and Portland. And bagel snobs we all are! Order extra cream cheese, and yes the jalapeño tastes fresh and had a good kick for people who “love spice.” Which is why I went with peanut butter but both my kiddos loved the jalapeño cream cheese. Rx Brew has the best coffee in Weatherford, maybe even all of Western Oklahoma. It’s a bit pricey, but it’s on par with Starbucks and, in my opinion, much better than Starbucks. Try the iced white chocolate mocha!

There’s a few places to sit, but if it gets busy, you might have trouble finding a place to sit. They say there’s WiFi, but for some reason, my phone and laptop never connect to it. My friends have never had this problem though, so it’s probably just my devices.

Saturday morning I took my daughter inside for our mom-daughter date, and I was extremely disappointed with the service. I ordered one drink, 2 donuts and 2 bagels, and we waited 30 minutes to get anything, even the donuts which were sitting in the case. That is a long time especially for a hungry 5 year old to sit and wait. No one came and said anything to us in that time. Several people who came in after us got their food and drinks first. When the girl did finally bring me my drink, it was completely wrong. She never apologized for the wait OR for the wrong drink.
