CA's Diner — Restaurant in Weaverville

The good- I was greeted by a young man who was probably the child of one of the owners or workers a little young to be working in the restaurant otherwise. He was very courteous and even tried to find out the ingredients in the Greek omelette for me. Even though he didn't know the answer he sought it out and let me know. A fine young man with the proper work ethic such a relief! My waitress was also friendly and kept my coffee filled and made sure I had what I needed.

The bad- the food was average. I got the Philly steak omelette it was not bad it was not great. It was nothing I would go out of my way to come back for. It did not make that great of an impression on me. I would eat it again just not my top pick for omelette destination it was a little bland and had very little cheese in it. I would order extra cheese and add salt and pepper to it. I did add hot sauce which did help.

The ugly- the location and the atmosphere make it a place I've driven past many a times and never really noticed it. Inside I didn't get the sense there was any character to the place much like my omelette it was kind of bland.

Overall- there were a lot of people there so they have a following it maybe I picked the wrong plate on the wrong day. I will return simply for the service I felt at ease and felt like the staff really appreciated my business. I look forward to trying a different dish and maybe I can update my rating to a 5...

Went for lunch on Tuesday of this week and it was absolutely wonderful. Had the Cuban Sandwich and my husband has a burger. Waitress was friendly and food was quick and hot. Very good experience...went back on Wednesday and did not have the same experience. Started out great...sweet young lady brought us our drinks. I had a burger and my husband decided to try the aCuban and do the upcharge for the oninu rings. Again the service was fast however there were only 4 onion rings on the plate. We don't mind paying extra...but 4 onion rings for $2 is a bit much. He asked about it and the waitress took it back to the window and made a sarcastic remark about him so he told her to just take the meal off our check. I continue to eat my lunch...no one offered to see if we needed anything else or to refill our drinks. We got up and paid our bill and after we walked out o could hear someone clapping. That is totally uncalled for and unprofessional. I did go back in and say something but would like for the owner to be aware of this incident. We will not be back which is sad because we really enjoyed the food and service...

Stopped there for breakfast about 11AM. Four or five tables were filled, we sat down and gave our order. One had pancakes, others had eggs & bacon, nothing difficult to cook? About 10 minutes of waiting, a couple sat down next to us and another couple in a booth across from us. Different server took their orders and filled our coffee. Another 5 + minutes go by and still no food, ask other server to check, it will be right out! So next, both couples have been served their meals----we haven't! Ask the server to please ask our server why we have no food! Well, here she comes with that long, yucky ponytail just flopping and swinging! Gross! Then get this, the reason for our LONG wait, "it takes longer for pancakes than eggs"! Seriously!!! What a joke!! Feel sure she failed to turn in order! So if you want to wait on greasy food and ponytail swinging over it visit CA's. I really do not like to give bad reviews, but the service and conduct of this server and our cold food is...
