If i could give this place 10 stars I would. I would say Mexican is by far my favorite food and most Mexican places around this area are horrible and bland. I have been to most of all of the Mexican restaurants in a 100 mile radius, searching… and no other place even comes close. Me and my wife go here regularly and have for the past I don’t know how many years now and it’s always top tier and consistent. If you like real home made salsa, or spicy sauce they have the best habanero sauce I’ve had at any restaurant period. Most places have tomato sauce and call it salsa, it’s shocking. If you like good, clean, authentic Mexican food, this is the only place within 100 miles in my opinion. Also wanted to throw in they have clean restrooms and a clean and friendly staff, which is a big plus. If you have not checked this place out, you have done you and yours a injustice! Do it now and don’t listen to the few negative reviews, those people think the Mexican place next door is good (barf) so that tells you all you need to know, there are 2 types of people when it comes to Mexican, the ones that prefer bland tasteless barf and have no taste buds and the real ones!...
Read moreTwice I visited this restaurant during my stay at Weaverville, NC. The first visit the food was delicious, the waitress was very relunctant to serve me. Despite that I left her a generous tip and she was suprised. The second visit the food was not as delicious because the rice was not fresh and tasted bad. As for the server he was terrible and immature, he was so bad a younger waitress attempted to serve me because of the way he treated me. I usually imply empathy towards waiters and waitresses, but for the first time I did not tip for a service I received from another person. The reason for such service had alot to do with their leadership, because the both male host or managers who greated me at the door were very discrimitory and tried to dictate where I should be seated, which was at the rear area of the restaurant near the kitchen. I decided to visist a second time to ensure it was not imagination. I was treated very poorly and I did not deserve such treatment because I was very pleasant during my both visit. I believe this restaurant needs diversity training. To their defense, I have had similar experiences in all weaverville restaurant...
Read moreService was good, food came out quick. Chips and salsa served right away while we waited. But man the food. My husband got one of the specials and it was basically a tour de unseasoned ground beef. They had a “chili relleno” which should be a pepper typically a poblano, stuffed with cheese and meat(or just cheese), dipped in an egg batter fried and cooked in a flavorful sauce. What we got was a dang BELL PEPPER stuffed with the same flavorless ground beef that was in the taco and enchiladas. No batter, no sauce just raw doggin ground beef in a bell pepper. Like just don’t put it on the menu if you don’t know what it is man. The ground beef was so bland, and there was soooo much on the plate. I lucked out and and had a slightly more seasoned dish that seemed to be stuffed with dinty Moore beef stew sans the vegetables. Hope it was a weird day, can’t say anything else bad about the experience other than the boring food. We don’t have a lot of money to be going out to eat, we go maybe once every few months if that. And it’s just really disappointing to have...
