@Jessica/Guest Services...ARE YOU SERIOUS??? WOULD YOU THROW $24 IN THE TRASH TWICE? WE AREN'T EVEN TALKING ABOUT A MISTAKE! HE INTENTIONALLY RUINED MY FOOD. WHY WOULD I ORDER IN THE FUTURE? This is the absolute worst Firehouse Sub location in the country! I ordered my usual at about 15 minutes to close. The person making it rolled his eyes at the manager as he took my order at the register. I should have just left at that moment. Since they were about to close they just didn't want to make the order. If that is the case, just say so rather than ruining my sandwich to the point that it's not edible. The entire sandwich was wet with oil and vinegar, had mustard flowing out every side of the sub, the meat was stacked to one side of the sub rather than evenly distributed. Half the meat was cold on a hot sub. This was a flat out waste of time and money for me. I'll never trust this location again knowing they're willing to take my order and money then ruin the sandwich rather than just decline the order and close early. Plus there was oil and vinegar on the sub container and the bag they put it in before handing it to me. I literally had to go wash my hands so I wouldn't get my car sticky. I should have taken a picture of it to send to corporate. Absolutely pathetic product and attitude from the employees. They should close this store until they can get a professional crew trained and in place. I would have returned it but by the time I got home they were closed. I was hungry and needed to eat something so I cleaned the sub off the best I could with a paper towel and scraped the slopy mustard and mayo off so it wouldn't hit the table flowing out with each bite. It still sucked! If you don't want to make orders at 8:45 then close at 8:30! Again you should close this location completely until you get a decent staff trained and working. You'll only drive your reputation into the dirt by "serving" anyone this way. Absolutely pathetic attitude and service, flat out the worst I ever had an ANY Firehouse. I worked at the first location in Florida in 1994 and have eaten at store all over the country. This location is an embarrassment to the company as a whole. One more thing if you're still reading, several weeks before this incident I walked in to order with 2 other customers in front of me. There was one person making orders, one in back prepping and one stocking the chip rack. The new employee was stoking and continued to do so at the direction of the manager rather than pausing the task to take orders of the 3 people in line. We all waited for several minutes before the manager asked the new trainee to take our orders. For future reference, 3 people standing in line waiting to order is a much higher priority over...
Read moreI ordered a sandwich at the Merrimon Ave store. The receipt shows no onions. There were two male employees up front (and one prepping in the back)--9 customers in the store...and 8 sandwiches to be made.
I am an auditor so I pay attention to order/pickup timings, customer, count, cleanliness, etc.
A woman came in and as she walked behind the counter asked both front employees what they needed help with--neither gave a definite answer.
It took 13 minutes to receive my one sandwich. When I got home I found onions on the sandwich (BTW: the same person who took my order made the sandwich).
I called the store, a male employee answered the phone and said I needed to speak to someone else and the phone was answered by a female. I asked if she was the female who came in and asked the employees where she needed to help and she answered in the affirmative and identified herself as the owner. After I explained the error, she asked me "What did I want her to do to correct the problem?" I said it appeared there were not enough employees--to which she interrupted me (the rest of my sentence would have been "so I understand the error") and she stated she did have enough people. (Then why would she need to come in and ask the employees where she needed to help?). I continued and asked her what she normally did to correct a wrong order and she stated she would have made me another sandwich while I was there. I stated it was a to-go order and I just discovered the error, to which she again interrupted me and--to be honest, I tuned her out. When she paused, I said let me know when you are finished because I didn't want to interrupt her. She stated I needed not to be rude. I asked for her name and she hung up on me.
Needless to say, I won't be going back.
Hey rude "owner" : the proper way to have handled this would have been to tell me to bring back the receipt and you would make it right! The FB 2.8 rating is believable--I am posting this exact wording on Google ratings also.
TOTAL FAIL ON CUSTOMER SERVICE!
I called corporate office--I was told hanging up on me is NOT acceptable behavior, but nothing corporate will address.
My last time in a Firehouse...
Read moreI regretfully have to leave a 1-star review for FireHouse Subs in Weaverville, a place my family and I used to love frequenting. However, our recent experience at this establishment has left us extremely disappointed and unable to recommend it any longer.
A couple of months ago, I had a negative experience at FireHouse Subs and decided to address my concerns with the management. To their credit, the franchisee reached out to me and offered to address the issues we faced. They even promised to cover the cost of our next meal, in an attempt to make amends.
With this in mind, I visited the restaurant today to take advantage of the franchisee's offer and give them another chance. Unfortunately, it turned out to be a disastrous decision. What should have been a 20-minute wait for our order ended up stretching to a frustratingly long 50 minutes. As if that wasn't bad enough, I witnessed other customers walking out in frustration, instructing the staff to forget about their orders and not even bothering to request a refund.
When we finally received our order and brought it home, we were dismayed to find that the food quality was just as subpar as the one the franchisee had promised to remake. It was clear that no effort had been made to address the issues we had previously encountered.
This experience has left a bitter taste in our mouths, both literally and metaphorically. The prolonged wait, combined with the lackluster food quality, has shattered our confidence in FireHouse Subs in Weaverville. It's truly disheartening to witness such a decline in an establishment we once enjoyed.
Regrettably, I cannot recommend this location any longer. The inconsistent service, prolonged wait times, and disappointing food quality have led me to believe that the previous positive experiences were simply a thing of the past. It is my hope that the management and franchisee take immediate action to address these issues and restore the reputation of FireHouse Subs in...
