To start off, Gringos used to be amazing. Back in the day they had multiple locations, friendly staff, and great prices. Now, since they have trimmed it down to the one store and the new owners (if they can be called that since they never respond to customer complaints) have run it's quality into the ground. the manager Tyler is a complete tool and he is very mouthy with the customers and glares at former employees and talks about them when he thinks they aren't looking. The food is not what it used to be but it is still passable but after my last couple of experiences, specifically with Tyler, I will not be back and I will not recommend. My last encounter with Tyler, I had to leave my vehicle on a drive thru order to show him how to run a credit card. He was bending it so it wouldn't read. Then, he threatened to call the police if my son didn't pull forward (we had not received our food yet because he couldn't figure out how a credit card machine works). When I called him out on his bad behavior he had the audacity to tell me "Well maybe you should just not come to Gringos then." He said that to a paying customer in front of multiple other paying customers. Absolutely ridiculous! I had messaged the owners last time I had a problem with him and asked that they contact me back. They never did so a review on...
Read moreI grew up eating at the gringos on 7th, when a plate of nachos was 99 cents. My parents were middle class poor and this is where we ventured to (30 miles away) every weekend. This is where at 16, I took my cousin for 2 for $1 tacos.. fast forward 10 years, I drive further to Webb City (Cant wait for that new Joplin location) and usually drive away. Please let me know who can afford drive thru food for $8 a person!!!???? My parents never venture out but when they do , they "splurge" and eat here, but then my mom complains about the non consistency. Before you could get the hot temperature mild sauce in a little cup with every item purchased .. because in my family we come for your sauce, we can get meat cheese and a shell anywhere... but lately we get charged for each bit of sauce asked for. I would think the more affordable, the more customers would flock in and it wouldn't be such a special occasion.. $$$$ the profits would skyrocket. I'd compare numbers with taco fast food chains when they run their $1 specials... also hire some friendly people. Missouri is full of friendly people. It's hard to find them not happy, but here. Oh the food, is pretty good. It taste like any other taco but they do put more cheese than other places, and they don't charge for their packets of sauce (strange homemade is...
Read moreWell this is more than disgusting we went in and used the restroom to wash your hands before we ate and the guy that works here went in before my husband did and he was not using the urinal he was using the toilet and he did not wash his hands so when my husband came out of the bathroom he told me and I said no this is gross let's go I'd realized I dropped something inside so I went back inside and I said something to the guy behind the counter about the man in the bathroom not washing his hands and that he works here and we sat out in the car trying to find another place to eat after which at patron comes out and knocks on my car door and says hey I just want to let you know I understand what you're saying but once you left they were all laughing at you like it was funny this place is disgusting
I can't add an additional comment. But ya know. My husband felt the sink. The man did not wash his hands before exiting the bathroom. And, to have a customer of yours come up to my window to tell me your staff was laughing at me. Not good.
I appreciate your reply but that does not excuse not washing your hands after you flush to toilet and then laughing at a customer in front of other customers. Not good....
