Rudy's has some of the best barbecue my family and I have ever eaten. The restaurant has a very relaxed setting and is typically busy. Finding a parking place can sometimes be an issue, though. In addition, the customer service is a little to be desired, but their food just may make you forget it. Their sides are located in refrigerator against a wall and is accessible while you and your party are waiting in line. The potato salad is very tasty (almost as good as your grandmother's) and the banana pudding is also a great desert choice. Potato chips are available if you prefer, as well. The meat is cut behind the counter and your can watch your meat being cut from where you're ordering. You'll also be given a choice of bread, whether you opt for a sandwich or just your meat choice. The meal is served on wax paper -- no plates here -- and a large, plastic tray is given to you to carry your meal. Upon receiving your order, the beverages are on the right and the plastic forks, knives, and spoons are on the left. You can load all of the utensils in the tray. Make sure you grab a large sheet of wax paper to lay on your table. Once you have what you need to enjoy your feast, pick a picnic table. There are large, accommodating tables and a few small tables. A party of two can use a small table for privacy, but, depending upon the time of day, the restaurant can be a bit loud. Also, let the cashier know that it's your first time. You probably won't get a discount, but the cashier will explain how things work there. Overall, you'll really enjoy the food and, chances are, you'll probably return.

We needed to charge, so we decided to have a little snack. Best snack for us was in their freezer. Yum. So happy they support EV charging! Have been here several times now. When the counter people are friendly, I like the place better. This last time the lady taking care of our order wS quite umpatient with us elder folk not knowing how the place operated ( if you want to irritate them ask for a stuff potato with chicken--- it is not possible as their chicken is served with bones). So I odered chicken and bread , but requesting the potato was the end of the lady listening to me. She did not like my husband changing from a small potato salad to a large. Pretty sure she did not ant our business at all. Got cold greasy chicken and no directions, with the oldest potato salad on the planet. We should have stuck with the ice cream, much better value. We had much better results at other locations, but it is what it is. It was an expensive cold meal that made us feel so unwelcome that we probably will not return unless circumstances force us. Has good bathrooms and AC. So those are bright spots.

Venga! F. El brisket en España / Wiki / apuntes personales. Well today I went to Rudy's when I got there I ordered half chicken half a pound of ribs two orders of banana pudding in one order of peach cobbler small. Mind you I had already added up my food and everything because I was looking at the menu here on Google maps you know you can look on there and see places to go and then they have food as well they also have the prices and things like that when I get inside instead of them all in the prices that they're advertising they had hyped up all the prices and I asked to speak to the manager to see if he would honor the prices that was shown he going to tell me that this this is not the Rudy's there I didn't go to there online site which we all know everything is online now, and so therefore he didn't want to honor the prices inside the store the banana pudding a very small cup of banana pudding at that is $3.99 and a very small cup of peach cobbler is $3.99, but on the menu it says 3:29 so the manager comes out anyway he talking crazy to me like I'm not saying this on the menu Rudy's all in all I paid $32-40 for my food. I politely stop talking to this particular manager I cut the conversation short, and asked to just continue talking to my waiter which was very polite and professiona who took time out to go get the managerl, the manager was very rude he came off as a little prejudice, standoffish, I'm very unprofessional what is snide remarks, As if he was trying to prove a point to the waiter he asked me to show him the ok menu which I did then he refused to accept that it was connected to their place of business. I've been through this many times and this was the first time I've ever been totally offended just respected and talk to you like I was crazy and all my 60 years. Although I want to sit down and enjoy my food as I usually do I took my food and left because they do have great barbecue. This time they gave me a burnt sausage though as well. I usually come there around this time of the year in order whole pairs of peach cobbler and different other things for the holidays but that particular manager really messed it up for me this year. I say why I spend money at a place where you're not really respected and valued as a customer. I noticed after I went in the store and I got home to do this review I went back in there they had changed the prices from $3.29 to $3.99 just that quick so he did go and bring it to the attention of everybody else cuz they were having a meeting at the time I was there but he was so rude and disrespectful for trying to make me look like I was crazy, now today now today is December 19th 2024 and just like I told him about the problem today he went in and fixed it immediately but he going to try to call me crazy when we were standing face-to-face and tell me that this was not there their site and it's not connected to the store Rudy's country store & BBQ. But the problem is fixed immediately and I haven't been gone not even half an hour. Very bad...

Sadly we ( My elderly wife and I) Attended the restaurant as she had a hankering for good Barbecue.Upon sitting down.for our meal.she noticed and alerted me to.the smell and taste of Fluid used to ignite the wood used to.cook the meat.I smelled it and she was unable to.finish the food.My.meal.was fine.but, her drier brisket was saturated with the fluid and the smell. I told her it was probably an overzealous cook not allowing enough time for the ignition fluid to.burm off and placed the meat immediately on the flames.Needless to.say she suffered to the point where I believed I would have to.take her to the Emergency around the Corner (.We live in Deer Park.) On Center st.She went into the bathroom and vomited up all the meal before I could get her to.go.to the Emergency room. I am horrified that :Rudis would allow this to.happen.There needs to.be more supervision over how and when.meat is cooked and if they are going to use "Accerlerants: to.get.their wood going then there needs to be ample time allowed so that it is all.burned.off before any Food product( in this case "Brisket" to be placed in it.I hope that this review will.be a wake ⏰️ up call to improve safety, for its customers. Rudis are you listening. I would like to add an addendum to this review I was subsequently contacted by an official @Rudy's and I was given a much needed education about Barbecueing and the woods used An Oak that when initially used must be allowed to burn off some of its chemical components this was the cause of the smell and taste and it will corrected in all future cooking so it doesn't occur. The wonderful management will see to it that all future cooking is done appropriately and I can't wait to return to "Rudy's " and enjoy what is always a pleasurable experience. They will.see fit that this never occurs again It was an education for me and I've learned something I never knew before and I'm grateful for the...

This BBQ spot hits the mark every single time! Whether it’s your first visit or your fiftieth, the quality and flavor are always on point and that kind of consistency is hard to find.

Let’s start with the turkey: it’s juicy, tender, and perfectly smoky without being overpowering. It melts in your mouth and has become one of our go-to items every visit. And the brisket? Absolute perfection. It’s everything you want in great brisket rich, flavorful, and cooked to the ideal balance of tenderness with just the right amount of fat. Truly chef’s kiss!

The sides are always fresh and satisfying, and the portions are generous. It’s clear the kitchen puts care into every plate, whether you’re ordering a simple sandwich or a full spread for the table.

What really adds to the experience is the service. The staff here are consistently kind, welcoming, and attentive without being overbearing. From the moment you walk in, you're greeted with warm smiles and genuine hospitality. They’re knowledgeable about the menu, quick to offer suggestions, and always make sure you’re taken care of.

There’s something about this place that feels like a neighborhood gem comforting, reliable, and absolutely delicious. It’s our go-to spot whenever we’re craving BBQ, and it never disappoints. Whether we’re dining in or taking it to go, we know we’re in for a great meal.

If you’re a BBQ lover or just someone who appreciates quality food and friendly service do yourself a favor and give this place a try. It’s become a staple in our rotation, and we’re always looking forward to the next visit. You really can’t go wrong here. Five...
