Michiru — Restaurant in Webster

First of I’d like to state that I’ve been a customer for years and to be honest Michiru has gone DOWN hill and it’s definitely NOT what it used to be. I requested a table or to sit at the bar, whichever was available first. The hostess were not friendly and did NOT communicate efficiently that the bar was open and therefore allowed other people that were there way after us to just come in and sit at the bar with and without asking. It’s as we didn’t exist and then the hostess would get defensive when we asked any questions. We noticed a couple of open tables with no one sitting on them because they were “reserved”. For a small establishment size and as a paying customer it’s almost insulting to wait almost an hour when you see tables that are not occupied. No one else was waiting to be seated but us. An older lady who I assumed was the manager kept apologizing but the damage was done. The food was basic and not worth the wait. It was loud and people use this place to socialize and go on dates. The tables don’t move fast enough or efficiently. I typically don’t leave reviews but I think 🤔 people...

First off, the hostes was super sick, Im sure they made her work, I needed a table for 6, so we had to wait for them to clean one, no big deal, so they sat us down and the top of the table was still wet, hostes didnt even offer to dry it off, my wife and I had to ask for napking to do it ourselves. It was something bad with the sushi, my kids ate something else, but my wife and I had sushi, and not even 1 hour after leaving the sushi bar we started getting stomach aches, and then I started vomiting at home, I cant say it was something else because sushi was the last thing we ate. Bottom line, we will not be coming back, bad service($20 was added to my bill because of 6 people, yet waiter only ask if we needed anything about 3 or 4 times, we were there for at least an hour), sick hostess coughing everywhere, and bad food. Please avoid this place for your own health. Overpriced sushi, we've eaten in other sushi bars about same amount of food and paid way lower than this place and better...

Came in with some friends on a busy Saturday night for dinner, the small restaurant was packed with diners. After a brief 20 minute wait for a table for 4, we were finally seated. Our waitress did not even come take our drink/food orders until 15 minutes later even though there were plenty of staff around for the amount of tables in the restaurant.

Prices for all menu items were rather high for the quality of sushi here though. I'm usually a shrimp tempura fan, but the rolls I ordered were average and not worth mentioning. However, a few items that were decent include: Satay Beef (4/5) Fried Calamari (4/5) - served with honey miso and Thai sweet spicy sauce Chicken Katsu (4/5) - large portion of crispy fried chicken cut into strips served with plum sauce Orange roll (5/5) - speciality roll with fresh salmon

Summary: Great atmosphere, slower service during peak hours, semi-high priced food, and outstanding presentation of food but quality/taste...
