Yama has earned a permanent spot on my speed dial for good reason. Whether we opt for takeout or dine-in, the experience is consistently enjoyable. The staff is always cheerful, and the sushi is of exceptional quality.

If you're a sushi enthusiast, I highly recommend the sushi dinner option. It comes with a generous serving of sushi, along with miso soup and salad. In comparison to other local sushi spots, Yama's combination of quality and value stands out.

Even if you're not a fan of sushi, like some of my family members, there's no need to worry. Yama offers a variety of alternatives such as salmon and chicken teriyaki, as well as delicious noodle dishes. Yama truly caters to all tastes, making it a top choice...

The food was very good according to the folks I ate with. However, my California Dinner that I ordered had cucumber with the peel in the roll? A California roll is usually my go-to sushi roll and I've never had one where the peel was in with the rest of the cucumber. I'm not a picky eater by any means, but it actively scratched against my throat as I ate it and it was very unpleasant. The service was pretty decent as well, although a couple orders were forgotten and it was a long while before I was able to get a drink refill and dirty plates off the table. The staff were very friendly and had a positive...

My spouse and I have been coming to Yama for over 20 years, and we have always enjoyed meals together, with family and with friends. The meals are well prepared and attractively plated. Service is personable and excellent even when they are busy. [As an observation more than criticism, Asian restaurants in general have had to struggle obtaining and affording top quality rice of all sorts, from Japanese-grown short grain to premium Indian basmati. Unfortunately, it seems Yama is no exception — the rice is good and acceptable, but not exceptional.] Lunch bento boxes and sashimi/sushi specials are excellent...

A really good sushi place in Wellesley! It was less pricey than other places I've been to, and the food was all really good! Not just the sushi, but also the tempura, the poke bowls, their fried ice cream, and much more! The service was very prompt once our large group actually got it together enough to place an order, and the overall energy of the place felt authentic but in a relaxed way. If you're in the Wellesley/Needham area, I would recommend! Update: food and service still just as great! Will also recommend their sushi entrees - also a place where you can get Calpico
