When I see a place with 5 stars, I am both skeptical and amazed. I visited this shop to do some remote work which seems anathimum to the purpose of this shop. There is no wifi and the seating feels meant for coffee with a friend, journaling or doodling more than working for hours on end. The coffee is amazing. They brew their own coffee on Mondays, they take care to filter their water to provide an intentionally balanced and flavorful coffee.
Their customers are treated like family and they repay in kind. The staff are thoughtful and friendly and the atmosphere is cozy and comfortable. Their focus is serving excellent coffee. Food offerings are limited to croissants, cinnamon rolls, one or two choice others. They sometimes run out of coffee as each batch takes 6 hours to brew, so be early if you're interested. Espresso drink are available in their stead.
Jejes deserves every stars they have. It's clear they take pride in educating their customers about their process and what sets them apart. During the few hours.i spent in the shop, multiple customers raved about their coffee, with one customer walking back to let them know. Absolutely visit with a friend if you love high quality coffee and espresso drinks. If you're looking for a place to do work, I would find another place.
I will be back to visit Jejes and you...
Read moreLovely café in Wellesley, run by a Korean couple.
Stopped by for a quick coffee while passing through the area, not knowing what to expect, but I was surprised by the quality of their latte. Jejes kept it simple—no flavored lattes, just classic espresso with milk or oat milk. Everything, from ice to milk, was precisely measured on a scale for consistency, though they do go a bit heavy on the milk. As the reviews suggested, this was easily the best regular iced latte I’ve had in the GBA. Super smooth, zero bitterness, yet still leaving a nice, subtle coffee aftertaste.
I also tried the Cherry Blossom Tea, which was decent. It had a lovely initial floral aroma, but the scent faded almost immediately.
From their pastry selection, the Maple Butter Pecan Danish was fantastic. The flaky Danish paired beautifully with the rich maple butter, and the sprinkle of candied pecans gave it a nostalgic touch—reminding me of AMC’s caramel popcorn with its nutty sweetness and signature caramelized aftertaste.
While I typically prefer flavored lattes, the one here was good enough to make me rethink my preference. Highly recommend...
Read moreWhat an incredible experience. Jeje's outwardly shows a true passion for coffee and everything paired with their coffee, including the house-made pastries! From the poster of the coffee-tasting wheel, to a thorough "About our business" poster explaining every thought they put into roasting, brewing, and pairing their coffee. This is truly a "coffee nerd's" coffee shop in the best, most unpretentious way.
I had an incredible pour-over that was served in a special glass that the owner kindly explained is to allow for proper aroma. She also explained to give the coffee a few minutes to cool off for the proper experience. And the house-made cranberry pecan scone: wow! Their "About our business" poster explained how even their pastries are baked with the best possible ingredients and purposefully not-too-sweet as to pair perfectly with their coffee--and boy was it correct! I loved everything about how this place passionately caters toward the best possible coffee experience for their customers.
The owners are so kind and humbly passionate. We need more coffee...
