Iwa Sushi and Grill — Restaurant in Wenatchee

We were in town visiting family last month and walked past this restaurant during the downtown wine walk event. When I saw the high star average we decided to come back for dinner. We came early since we had our baby with us and we were able to be seated right away. The server was a really nice gal but the service was slow. Luckily we were ready to order by the time she came back. We got some edamame to snack on and I asked for a little cup of rice to keep my baby fed and occupied. Well then we waited for our food for over an hour…it took over an hour to get 4 rolls. At one point I looked around the restaurant at all the tables which were full and not a single person had food…And I can understand if it was worth the wait but sadly it was not. This was the worse sushi I’ve had ever had. The seafood was not fresh, it was all frozen and thawed, especially the shrimp, and tasteless. The tuna was “fishy” and not good. I’m honestly surprised I didn’t get sick after eating here. Again the waiter was apologetic but something was definitely up this night. But she made a comment that made it seem like the restaurant didn’t know it would be so busy…on a Saturday night??

So sadly we will definitely not be returning here. And I really don’t understand how this place has such...

Average sushi, good for a smaller town, but expensive for what you get. It's the service that really brings this place down. My meal came with Musk soup, which the waiter didn't bring out first. I couldn't get his attention so I asked the sushi chef who said ok but they still didn't bring it out until after the sushi. The chef then gave me the wrong sushi and when I said I didn't order it he said yes I did. The waiter had written it down wrong and didn't remember either. It was a very different fish, even in name, than I had ordered. They did correct it. The waiter never came over to ask me how the food was and I had to track him down again to get my bill. The place wasn't even busy, 3 tables and 2 waiters! There are a lot of places to eat in this town so unless you can't live without some sushi I...

First and last time customer! We ordered 2 rolls online and paid in full, wait time was estimated to be 25 minutes, shortly after the order was placed we get a text saying expect it to be 30 minutes they where busy and a little behind (no big deal). We get there in just under 30 minutes and are told they have not started it and are backed up expect another 15 minutes....... another 30 minutes goes by before we receive our food. It took 1 hour to get 2 rolls..... there was no apology, and no comp of any sort not to mention the price was almost 30 dollars for 2 rolls there where loosely done and pathetic in size. Flavor was no better then Blue Flame or Sumo and there size is much better as well as price. Save yourself the disappointment and go to Blue flame or Sumo they know what customer...
