It wasn’t that we only received one of our two orders. It was the poor service in only receiving one.
We went out for a couple’s dinner. We are locals and with all the restaurants in Wenatchee to choose from, we went to Saddlerock Brewery specifically so I could eat a Barbeque Chicken Calzone because I love them. We ordered at the register, as always. The server acknowledged my calzone order and was actively typing at the register, then did the same for my partner’s order.
We sat at the outside counter and as soon as the server brought out our order I knew there was a problem. No way is a calzone prepared at the same speed as my partner’s salad and grilled cheese.
Here is where my challenge starts. I accept that mistakes can be made. I have made quite a few in my life. The server offered to start the calzone but I declined since it would have been ready well after my partner had finished her meal and would have essentially been a takeout box.
Most egregious, the server never once came out to check on us. A good restaurant survives by making customers feel welcome. The server could have offered up a free beer or a coupon for a future meal for her mistake. Or at least come out to see how we were doing. Instead, we never saw her again.
She had received a substantial tip for not doing her job which she continued not to do.

Read moreCool place. A well kept, but classic, welcoming "Cheers" pub without the old beat-down musky tavern feel and without the look and clientele of overly preppy type of breweries that seem to be going in everywhere over on the west coast. Reasonable prices. Not a huge selection of beer or food, but just the right amount of everything for a good time with friends, and they do have a wide range of beer, from light to dark, and what thehy do have is fresh and tasty. We loved the stout. Our brother-in-law said his beer was the best he'd ever had (darn it, I forget what he ordered, although it was on the lighter end of the spectrum!). I wish we hadn't just eaten (elsewhere) as their pizza smelled wonderful, even with a full stomach. Big smiles, helpful, friendly, with fast service. The only issue was that the tables didn't seem to get cleared very quickly, so we weren't sure where to sit: if people were coming back, or if the tables were still in use, or if we were just supposed to bus our own tables. But, that was just about their only flaw. More importantly, at least when we ordered something, it was delivered quickly, right to your table... no wait. No complaints there, for sure. We'll be stopping by on our next...
Read moreWe have been coming to Saddle Rock since it opened, celebrating birthdays, work events, date nights, and making amazing memories with our family over the years. But after tonight, we are absolutely shocked and somewhat heartbroken.
The new blonde lady working there was unbelievably rude—not just to me, but to my entire family. And the worst part is we had children with us who had to witness it. We’ve always loved this place, always felt welcome, and even have shared many birthday cakes with the staff and cooks over the years showing our appreciation. We are quiet, polite, tip well, and are always respectful.
To be treated like this as loyal customers is beyond disappointing. We never expected to feel so disrespected in a place that has meant so much to us. Honestly, after this experience, we don’t know if we will feel right coming back. It's truly saddening - as weird as it sounds, it almost feels like betrayal.
I get that everyone has bad days—but this wasn’t just a bad mood. This was some of the rudest, most off-putting behavior I’ve ever witnessed. It left such a bad feeling in our bones, and that’s something that's really tough to just...
