Was looking for a taqueria since I like tacos/ lonches and it was already late and didn't have much options and this was the closest one to my new place.(just recently moved to weslaco). I was excited because the atmosphere gave me vibes as if the tacos and lonches are going to taste bomb af .... but I was absolutely WRONG!! I was very disappointed since the start. I was walking in and haven't even sat at a table and was asked dine in or take out by a lady with attitude and I was like dine in and was handed the menu rudely as I was looking for a table to sit, later on a gentleman walked over to our table and greeted us with joy, me thinking he was going to be our waiter but no turned out to be the rude lady. So we ordered our food and when we got the beans they were SALTY AF and had huge pices of tomato like it they were lazy to chop. Then I got my order of lonchea and two tacos of bistec and the first lonche I ate was good but had a small taste of like the smell of a trapiadora remojado, but i ignored it but as i kept eating the flavor of nasty dirty water started over powering and I got disgusted 🤢 the bistec was all mushy and had a texture as it it was boiled instead of it being actually cooked, my boyfriend's pirata taco was also with bistec and his had raw bistec mixed with his cooked (boiled) bistec. 🤢 the queso fresco also had a nasty mop taste to it as well. 🤮🤮 the only good thing out of everything was my Mexican coke, and when we went to pay i can see why the food tasted so old and nasty, the kitchen from the view of the register looked like it hasent been cleaned in months and the mop or water they use is the same old water from weeks because the food even penetrates and tastes just like it. I wouldn't be surprised if the food inspector went and found how nasty their kitchen must be. I really regret not reading the reviews before because after leaving there I saw a review of someone finding a worm in their beans and I wouldn't be shocked if it was true 🤢🤢🤮🤮. I will never be coming back again, this was one of the worst places I could...
Read moreI am usually a huge fan of the Taqueria de Jalisco restaurants, but this last time it was extremely disappointing. I went in around 2:30pm on 4/16/2022 and ordered 4 large beans. I was bbqing and did not have time to make beans, so i thought i would purchase them from Jalisco. I should have taken a hint, when i first walked in the lady at the counter was rude (black hair, pulled back into a ponytail, although the lady that charged me was nice. I received 4-32 ounce cups of charro beans. When i got home the beans smelt so foul, my wife and i decided to throw the beans away and purchase more beans at Antojitos instead. I feel like they gave me old beans that perhaps there were going to use to make refried beans, either way it was just an awful and gross experience. I will be thinking twice before going back to this place. Hope the lady at the counter fixes...
Read moreJust called to place an order, have never been, and was going to ask about the menu when the lady who answered the phone interrupted with "mande". When i asked her kindly if she could get someone on the phone who spoke english she replied no. I asked her if anyone there spoke english could help me she replied, in Spanish, (i can understand enough spanish to know what she was telling me for the most part but i cannot reply in Spanish or understand most of the language) no one speaks english there. So you mean to tell me you didnt understan me in the beginning of the phone call but understood when i was asking politely everything else? Will not bother to spend my money there. I understand this is a mexican/Hispanic restaurant but oh please you can understand me, spoke for everyone else working there, and claimed NO ONE can help a new hopeful...
