Khan's Grill — Restaurant in Weslaco

Managers just looking to make an extra $1. When we were putting the spices on our food 2 managers were just looking at our plates to size them up. One of them then went to tell the cook something. When we reached the counter to have them cook the food the cook starred back at the manager and waved yea, didn’t think much of it. Upon paying they charged my wife extra veggies and my moms plate which was a vegetable plate extra veggies as well. What made the plate look big was the broccoli and mushrooms. When we told the waitress she spoke to the manager and took her about 15min to come back to the table. She stated that the manager looked at the footage and determined that my moms plate the (vegetable plate) had too much vegetables and that’s why she was charged $3 more. The price was adjusted on the vegetable plate but our experience was ruined. We were in mcallen and we could have gone anywhere but instead we went to khans in Weslaco because that’s what my mom wanted and she waited all week to take us there. My moms plate had spinach on it so that’s what made it look big. The manager wanted to charge $15 for noodles and extra veggies. Ridiculous that these guys there try to steal money from people this way. I would frequent khans but I will No longer go back. Terrible experience I wish I would have gone somewhere else. You lost a few good customers for your greed. Caution and careful when you go to khans there greed will cost you more $$ if you don’t pay attention...

The ambiance and service is better than the Harliingen location. Unfortunately the server gave me sweet tea when I clearly asked for unsweet, (she wrote it on the ticket as such). Not such a big deal but nevertheless a fail. The restaurant was clean and the food was good.

09/22/22 UPDATE I went during lunch hour when it was fairly busy. The really disappointing part of my visit was watching the cooks scrape the burned flecks of food around the grill. Unfortunately these flecks get into the food on the grill, leaving a terrible aftertaste. HINT: There IS a solution to this problem. I hope they figure it out. I'm not telling. They still don't know how to properly clean their grill without black flecks of burnt food getting in the food. Staff...

This was a first for me. My noodles and veggies were burnt and when management was told he expected me to pick out the veggies and protein and they would replace the noodles ONLY. I did not agree with that option so they reluctantly allowed me to get an entire new plate. Management went to the grill and then yelled out to me that it was my fault my food was burnt because I didn't season my food correctly. WTH?! Very unprofessional and rude. I was not the one who cooked my food so this was not my fault. Also the sauce they use they shouldn't put the same amount of sauce on all plates because each plate has a different amount of food whey to salty. I will not be coming back again.
