Sunrise Restaurant — Restaurant in Weslaco

Love the food hate the service. My husband and I had to wait for about 30min just to get our drink, about 10min later the waitress brought us the menu, we waited for another 35min and she never came back we decided to leave and even though we didn't even have a sip from our drinks we went to the register to pay for them. The lady at the box told us she was sorry and that we didn't have to pay. My husband insisted and handed her the money but she didn't accept it. As we are walking towards our truck we hear someone screaming and running behind us. It was the manager telling my husband in a very rude way that he had to pay for the drinks. My husband told him that he had tried to but the lady wouldn't take the money he responded in a very rude way "no way you have to pay" making it seem like we were running away without wanting to pay. I really felt like slapping that man but neither him or the resturant were worth wasting even more time there. Oh by the way the place wasn't even half full....

My family and I have been coming to this establishment for some time now, and we have never had a problem till today. My daughter ordered kids' tacos, and when we got them, they had a lot of oil. I sent the plate back requesting for the plate to be removed from the ticket since she did not consume it. The lady in the checkout was refusing to remove the plate, stating I was going to pay for it no matter what because I had ordered it. As natural, I refuse to pay for something that wasn't consumed. She had the odacity to state, "Well ma'am, if you are not able to pay for something you order, then next time don't order it." She still tried to play it as "I saw the plate ma'am, there's no oil on them. " She brought the plate to me, and I picked up one of the tacos, and the oil was dripping from it. Once she saw that she continued to state that I shouldn't order something, I was not able to pay while removing the plate from my ticket Never again will I go back to...

Super upset after today’s visit. I called in an order & they messed up my mother’s plate. I sent it back (chile relleno double rice no beans). We wait 10min while they “fix it” only to get home to NO tortillas, salsa or utensils. They were originally in the bag & the plate wasn’t even a new one so I don’t understand why everything wasn’t placed back in. When I call to let them know all she said was sorry & that I could go back AGAIN. I asked them if they would atleast remake her meal so it would be fresh/warm. The owner then said that I could go back but ONLY for the tortilllas. Really ?!? As if I didn’t already have my other food all cold from waiting on them previously & to top it off I’m going to waste another 30min driving back and forth. 20+ yrs coming here atleast once a week. And all they could do was replace the order of tortillas !?! Hope they enjoy losing a long time customer over...
