Will never go here again! Tried calling for over an hour today to place a to-go order! No one ever answered so I drove up there to see if they were open which they were. They were not busy at all so I spoke to the lady taking orders behind the register. I told her that they might be having problems with the phone and I have been trying to call them for an hour. I have been going to this spot for over 2 years now and have been quite a regular. Sometimes I go a couple times a week. Got there and my bill was like $2 more than expected because their prices went up. I told they lady that I only had the amount that it usually is because I could not get a total over the phone before coming in since it was not working, She asked the manager guy (guy making sushi) if she could do it for normal price and she even explained to him that I was trying to call for an hour but still came down. He didn't even take 2 seconds to look over at me and see who I was! If he would have he would realized that I was a very good regular and spend money at this place all the time! Just said no and didn't even look at me or say anything. I left and yelled thanks to him. Still he didn't say anything. After the two years of going here and they could not cut me a $2 break because they increased their regular pricing and could not answer the phone. After driving all the way out there to get that kind of service sucks and I will,,,,including my family will NEVER go there again. What a joke! Do yourself a favor and go 15minutes the other way to Takaras in Monroe. They have half off sushi 2 times a week and even if they don't its still like half the price and the place is nicer and sushi is very good!...
Read moreI’m very disappointed with my first and only experience here. We were moving and placed a $60 grub hub dinner order with them for my family. When the food arrived, we were shocked to see no silverware or chopsticks as we ordered entrees with rice and sushi. I called the business and spoke with the manager. I had no silverware at my house again since we are moving. I told her our situation and that we had no way to eat the food we had without utensils. Her name is Anna. She cared not. She said it is not their policy to add silverware and it must be requested by customer. I told her we just moved here, would have never known, and did not get asked an option to choose silverware. She did not want to make it right- she wanted to be right. I have worked In the restaurant biz for half my life and this is the craziest thing I have ever heard. To choose not to supply customers with napkins utensils unless asked. How is this a customer centric business model? Anticipating customers needs? Not a thing.. also with COVID, plastic wrapped utensils are highly recommended for use. So, I was in no way compensated or apologized for this in any way. We literally ate with our hands embarrassing enough to say. A small right that they could have made cost them probably a steady 3-4 orders a month from us as we are avid grub hubbers. This time, I was planning a dinner party for 15 people. I called Wednesday to see if they accepted reservations. They said no problem, and took my phone number to confirm the reservation on Friday (the day of the party). So, I call them Friday afternoon with a final headcount Again, I was told no problem. When the guest start arriving they are told to wait. When I arrive to get the final things ready for the suprise, I am told by a hostess that they don't take reservations on the weekends. I asked why and how come someone told me twice this week, actually a few hours ago that everything was set. My name was on the list with a head count. I was upset, and asked what happened. The hostesses just stood there doe eyed with nothing for me. They told us we would have to wait to be seated.... 15 people. We waited over 45 minutes.
