6/27/23 Why one star if the service and food was great? First, our server Anna was awesome. Not only a sweetheart but really working hard all night, seemingly by herself. Here’s the negative part. The manager “Erin” (last name I’ll withhold to be nice) is in the wrong business where your job is to properly service the customer. That’s not what Erin did. My wife and I ordered 2 OMB Captain Jack draft beers, 16 oz. They got to our table, and with 2 sips, we knew both were flat. It’s ok, it happens. So my wife took them to the bar to switch them out for something else. ERIN intercepts my wife at the bar and asks what’s up. My wife politely says “these are flat, so we’d like to order something else.” So Erin takes both glasses, and in front of people at the bar, proceeds to berate my wife and tries to convince her the beer isn’t flat. We’re both grown adults in our 40’s and 50’s and Erin thinks she can school us on the deep science of carbonation. Erin takes a straw and swirls it in the beer glass and says “I see bubbles, they aren’t flat. Just pour her another one” This so-called hospitality manager Erin is arguing with my wife over 2 flat untouched draft beers. My wife (already embarrassed and now flabbergasted) says “if it’s the same keg, I don’t want it. We want to order something different” So she asks the bartender for 2 other beers, which we eventually get, and they were not flat. Corporate should know about this woman, ERIN who was working the Wesley Chapel store. She clearly needs a refresher course on pleasing her patrons, with a smile. Not a ridiculous public debate about 2 pints of $3 dollar draft beers. Hey ERIN, here’s a pic of the Samuel Adams they brought me. THIS is not a flat beer, it has a HEAD. Understand? Little bubbles do not constitute fresh beer. You’re welcome for the...
Read moreLet me start off by saying we are a GM and AGM of a restaurant/bar in Charlotte and have been in the industry for over 20 years. We come to the Weddington location because it is close to our house and have never had an issue before (we always have sat at the bar) We came today to watch the football games. We had invited 3 other friends to join us. We arrived at 12:45 to watch the 1:00 games and got sat by the hostess. (No spots at the bar) we then literally with no exaggeration waited 32 minutes for a waiter to come over. The only reason it wasn’t longer is because my fiancé went up to the bar and asked for a manager. The manager apologized and sent a server over. The server blamed it on management (you never do that) We ordered waters, 1 beer, and one mimosa pitcher. We then waited another 18 minutes for our drinks including water. The tables next to us had got seated at least 20 minutes after us and were all served and got food before our waters even came. As a manager when you were told (in a very nice manner) that you have a full table of people “in the business” that we’re having an issue we were just expecting a walk by “how is everything “ or anything due to the fact that the service never got better. We had multiple tables around us complaining as well. The restaurant was not busy at all. Unfortunately this 3 hour experience has put a very bad taste in our mouth and will be going to a different location from...
Read moreSo my family/friends have been here quite a few times. It's nearby to our home and the front of house staff is usually excellent. However, it seems the kitchen ALWAYS struggles. You can confirm this in their reviews.
Today my father and I went in to grab a quick beer after work. I was going to order the chicken handheld, when were informed it was buy one get one free burger. We received two raw red burgers. The house chips were undercooked as well. I guess today was just finally enough for me and I asked them to just remove it from the bill, I didn't want any more crappy food.
So (I believe her name was Haley) gave me an attitude and argued with me. I told her the food usually comes out incorrect and she told me "I'm sorry you feel that way" and glared at me. Then their general manager came out and tried to make me buy something else and both Haley and the GM disappeared immediately after I told them I didn't want any more undercooked food from their kitchen.
We paid $40 for 3 beers and 1 raw burger. I work in a kitchen, and aside from a handful of FOH staff, this location specifically is trash and desperately needs a new general manager if it ever wants to pull itself out of half-service purgatory.
If it were me, I would have assured the guest that I would cook the food myself so it wouldn't be undercooked. Instead, nobody in this location gives a damn and is okay with coasting by on sub-par service in a...
