Worst seafood I’ve ever had. Our waitress, Yaz was friendly and kind, not sure how many other tables she had but not very attentive. Never refilled our waters. New residents to this area and wanted to try something great for dinner tonight. Started with the conch fritters which were just OK. They’re definitely the frozen style you can buy in bulk. Slightly mushy and full of bell pepper. The sauce they’re served with was so salty we didn’t use it. Not the style conch I’m used to at all further south. Then we tried the gator bites. They were just OK as well. Maybe I’ve been spoiled by the fresh locally caught gator they serve at Ralph’s in San Ann. $17 for about a small handful. For the entrees we got 1lbs of crab legs with cole slaw and fries and the fried oyster platter with mashed potatoes and garlic bread. The oysters were fine but the garlic bread wasn’t even toasted. Just cold white loaf bread with a very light touch of garlic butter. I’ve never had cold soft garlic bread, much less bread that wasn’t toasted. So didn’t eat that. The mashed potatoes without a doubt were instant Idaho potatoes from a bag. So bad and cold I couldn’t even eat them. Made my husband try them to make sure it wasn’t just me and he agreed-instant cold potatoes. The cole slaw was decent, probably the only thing I’d eat again. Fries were basic steak fries with way too much seasoning making them salty. The crab legs were way over cooked. Completely rubber and boiled till there was no meat left if the shell. We were torn between Pinchers and Dummy Crabby and left extremely disappointed and wishing I would have chose dummy crabby instead. By far the worst seafood I’ve ever had. The live one-man-band was nice but a little loud. Also had a premium strawberry margarita from the bar and it was awful. Tasted like rail tequila… Made my husband drink it. Definitely will not be back. They’re locally owned seafood shacks with much better food and prices. 2 people $130 to leave hungry and unsatisfied. I’ve been a server for 20 years and if I noticed my table didn’t eat any of their sides I’d ask if there was a problem and offer to switch the sides out for them. I’d also try to make their first experience a great one so they would come back and yes she knew it was our first time...
Read moreWe stopped here for a bite to eat after visiting Busch Gardens for the day, we wanted something we haven’t had before and this place caught our eye! The service here was spot on, we were seated immediately, our drinks brought to us quickly. Our server was freaking awesome & on it! I think his name was Jacob or Jake, he was super kind & friendly with our kids, which is huge when going out, as a lot of servers are annoyed with kids in general. He offered them crayons and coloring papers, and made their experiences just as warm & friendly as ours he took the time to ask them what they wanted and was really patient! Thank you for that! 😀 Onto the food! My husband got the mahi-mahi with fresh cut fries & rice, the seasoning was delightful! I tried a small bowl of the gumbo (never had gumbo before) it was delicious! I also had the fish & chips, but instead of fries I had the carrots & rice! It was all brought out hot & fresh! Everything was so good! I’m not a fry person, I will choose other sides any time I’ve given a choice to, with that being said I tried some of my husbands and wished I had gotten fries instead! We will definitely be visiting again, & highly look forward to trying other menu items! If you’re in the area or visiting it definitely...
Read moreThe food is routinely good. However, placing an order by phone was a nightmare. I called on a Sunday evening and the gentleman who answered loudly yelled "does anyone want to take this to go order" I was placed on hold while loud chatter took place in the background regarding whom was going to take my order. Finally a young woman came on the line I placed my order and told her that I had a coupon via email for a free hot crab and cheese dip when you spend $20 or more. She then loudly begins yelling to someone asking if the coupon can be used for take-out orders. I said excuse me, excuse me she inpatiently said just a second. I was simply trying to inform her that the coupon states dine-in and take out orders. Finally she turned her attention back to me and I told her what the coupon said she said oh okay. I enjoy Pinchers and order or eat here sometimes twice monthly if not more often because I live in the area, but their telephone customer service is atrocious and training is...
