What could have turned into a bad dining experience, ended up being a positive one because of the awesome waitress, and acknowledgment and honesty that the cooks were not having a good night. Our table of 4 decided on the large sicilian pizza. After we placed our order, I warned my guests that the sicilian normally takes longer to cook from past experiences at other pizza establishments. Sure enough, our thoughtful waitress came back to our table about 10 minutes later and advised us of the same info I had mentioned. Just a couple minutes later, she came back very apologetically and said the cooks had made our pizza with the standard crust, and not the sicilian. She told us that we could either start eating that one until our sicilian was ready, or she could box that pizza up and we could take it to go free of charge. Wow! Great customer service, owning up to their mistake and keeping the customer happy! We opted for the to-go option as we were anxious to try the sicilian on an empty stomach. So we patiently waited another 15 minutes or so, all the while our waitress kept our drinks full. So, the sicilian finally arrives!! Looks AWESOME, and huge!! We all dig in with the spatula and begin eating. Immediately we all noticed that the inner portion of the pizza, farthest from the crust, where we took our first bites, was cold. The shredded mozzerella cheese wasn't even melted together, and the sauce was also cold. We felt bad for having to call our waitress back over, but unfortunately we had to as the pizza was just not desireable with it being cool to the touch. Now, the outer portions of the pizza, by the crust, was pretty warm and edible. Again, our waitress was very apologetic and said she would bring it back to the kitchen and would make sure the entire pizza was hot when she brought it back to us again. After another 10 minute wait, our sicilian was finally piping hot with steam! Our waitress offered to give us this one for free also, and we insisted she did not need to do this, and we would be insulted if she tried, lol. We finally got to enjoy the sicilian how it was meant to be! Our waitress was amazing, and she insisted on at least giving us a discount on the sicilian, and still having the free regular crust pizza to go. We wish we had gotten her name, but she saved a bad dining experience with her thoughtfulness, honesty, and kindness! I'm not sure why the sicilian ended up being so cold in the middle, maybe the cooks were trying to rush the cooking process knowing they were keeping us waiting? Maybe the ovens need to be checked, or possibly have the cooks check the center of the pizza with a temperature probe before handing it over to the servers? Anyway, because of the awesome waitress, we will be back...
Read moreFood is decent, nothing special. Big problem is food safety. Cooks don't wear gloves then touch raw dough and chicken and then immediately touch cooked food from the oven. That's called cross contamination, very unsafe. As a Chef myself I can spot these violations from a mile away, 25 years in the restaurant industry will open your eyes. Even more concerning is when this was pointed out discreetly to staff the employees completely disregard it and even turn to making fun of the person pointing it out. It's really sad when I care more about your customers safety than the whole staff that's working. Also No-one on staff was serve safe certified, so no surprise food safety was dangerously lacking. Total of 5 dishes were cross contaminated in the 20 minutes I was there and witnessed. The employee without gloves on was asked to put them on but refused. I have video of this and will post a link to the YouTube so everyone can see how unsafe this restaurant is. It could be delicious, but that doesn't make it safe and the staff doesn't care if you get sick. DINNERS BEWARE!
In response to the owner:
As a Chef, I know that food quality comes first and would never allow a kitchen to run that way, regardless of how long people had to wait.
The holiday shopping season is not an excuse for shortcuts on safety. It's certainly not a good excuse for the total rudeness and disrespect your staff showed me and others in your restaurant. When someone... anyone points out that food might not be safe. You throw it out and re-make it, without question. You don't argue, you don't harass and make fun of them the way your staff did me. If you had a certified food safety manager on staff, they failed to identify themselves. Which they are OBLIGATED to do. On top of that out of pettiness your employee falsely reported that I was drinking to Uber, that's not just petty it's childish and you're ultimately responsible for that slander as well.
The simple fact remains you have multiple bad reviews for these issues. Your employees knew what they were doing was wrong. Your employees know they are hurting your business when they do these things. I belive you trained them properly and have expectations for their performance.
They just don't respect YOU enough to do the right things for YOUR restaurant when you're not there. They don't respect your customers enough to make sure they get good... safe.. food.
So tell me why I should show respect to them or you, by not posting or blurring their faces? What good would that...
Read moreYesterday me and my colleagues decided to try this place out for dinner. Our experience was absolutely horrible! Our server (named Martin G) was one of the worse servers I have had in a very long time. He was not patient with me nor any of my colleagues. You could sense his disgusting attitude from a mile away. He would walk away from us mid sentence. He barely came to our table to check on us. The worse part of it all was when he snatched the receipt out of my hand because I had to explain to him that he charge us for some things we should not have been charged for. How dare he catch an attitude with us and snatch the receipt out of my hand when his service was atrocious, he was getting our orders wrong, and he overcharged us; but him snatching the receipt was utterly disrespectful! I was appalled at how he had an attitude with me (or us) when we were being very kind to him despite his horrendous service. We all stilled planned on giving him a hefty tip because tis the season of giving. But not after he snatched the receipt out of my hand. I see other reviews of horrible service. I wouldn’t be surprised if it were the same server we had. They better nip him and that attitude in a bud before he causes them to lose lots of business. Oh and when we moved from the table outside to inside. You could hear the cooks saying “they just now coming in?” I guess they thought we just arrived because it was 20mins before closing. Little did they know it was their low level server. He was too busy worrying about closing duties and speaking to another associate about tips to be concerned about a table he hasn’t checked out yet. Even still you shouldn’t say “they’re just now coming in” out loud. You are still on the clock and the restaurant isn’t closed. There are times when a patient walks into my clinic five minutes before closing because he/she needs help. Even when I’m ready to go home I would never show it nor treat that patient any different than any other patient. We will never come here again and I’ll be sure to spread the word about this place and...
