The Crooked Crow — Restaurant in West Allis

I used to be a regular patron of this place with nothing but good food and good experiences until a racist bartender was hired. I emailed the managers and received no response and it's been over two weeks. That is why I'm writing review publicly. Never before have I been asked to pay for my food while I'm dining in, before I even received the food. The bartender told me that that was the new policy, and just seconds later, a white male patron came up to the bar saying he was ready to pay for his food and yet she was requiring me to pay upfront because she claims she didn't know me although she told me it was her second day, so who in the bar does she know? none of this made any sense to me. Every time I visit here, even my very first time, I've always paid when I was done eating, and this was the first time anyone ever requested such a thing from me. I could've accepted a new policy, but just witnessing blatantly in front of my own eyes, that when the white male patron walked up, she was allowing him to settle his tab, but requiring me to pay before I placed my order was absolutely unacceptable. They do have good food here and I won't take that from them but the Hispanic bartender, with black and red hair is an absolute NO for me and I won't be returning. Just started frequenting there a couple months ago Friendly atmosphere. Bartenders were nice and cordial. Always ordered cheese burger and fries. Excellent. Probably one of the best tippers that come in. Usually each time my order is 30.00 or more. Good service is why I tip so good. Last night Tuesday 05/15/2024. I came in to eat and watch NBA play offs. I sat patiently until the bartender came to service me. She came and threw the coaster at me. Very rude. And left to gossip with another bartender at the other end of the bar. When she got through she came back to and ask me what I wanted. I told her it was rude to throw a coaster. I never raised my voice or disrespected her. Told me to get out. She wasn't serving me. She went down the bar cursing and telling the other bartender (blond hair) just disrespectful things. I asked nicely if I can talk with the manager. She kept cursing and continued disrespect. I just left. I would never recommend anyone to this place. She was the skinny white female with dark hair. Like I say the other bartenders were nice. Especially Joe. He'd see me come in to watch NBA games. Knew just what I wanted. And I reward with good tips. No one should be subjected to this...

Dear owner! Thank you for your quick and diligent response. I realized that my review may have been hasty and my experience today was way far out of the norm. It was mildly unsettling that the bartender didn't act swiftly to address all the drunk patrons appropriately. Overall the food is great, I love the meatloaf patty melt a lot and those Kansas City seasoned fries are delicious! The atmosphere the first time we came in was wonderful to, which is why we went back. Again, I sincerely appreciate your immediate reply. I'lll leave this review up until i know you've seen this edit, then i can delete or fix it. I know thats not how you want your atmosphere to be, and after your response I will definitely come back again.

Came in for lunch for the second time. Our first time was great, really awesome food. Second time, there was a bar fight between three drunk patrons that escalated pretty rapidly and the bartender basically allowed it to take place. The main aggressor was allowed to remain in the bar and seemed to be friends with the bartender. Absolutely ridiculous ( also its 2:30 in afternoon)
