Cafe Floriana — Restaurant in West Bend

First time here. Stopped in for a hot beverage and a pastry. It's located in a building with other businesses. Plenty of parking out front. Nice large windows that bring in lots of natural light. Inside, it's well-designed and spacious. Plenty of tables for different-sized groups. The noise level was good, and it was easy to have a quiet conversation.

We ordered a couple of lattes and some bakery items. They made a London Fog latte that was very good (a little lavender, a little vanilla, extra foam). I was a bit disappointed with the bakery selection. For me, a great coffee shop (I know, this is a "Café" and not a "Coffee Shop") needs to have more than muffins and cookies. Croissants and scones are a must (IMHO). The chai cinnamon bread was good (not great). They offer "Gluten-Friendly" items for people with that sensitivity.

My overall impression is positive, but with the limited bakery items, it's not a place I would come back to for a morning beverage. Maybe...

I had the most amazing lunch from here today! I placed an order online for pick up- I had never been before but have always wanted to try it out! I was greeted with happy and smiling faces immediately upon entry and the ladies were so kind! The taste and quality of everything I ordered went far above what one would expect. I had the caprese melt, an acai bowl, and an iced latte and my tastebuds are still exploding from how delicious everything was . I ate it way too fast because I just couldn't get enough! I will definitely be back! It will be hard for me to stay away whenever I come to West bend! Keep up the good...

Another update: 9/4/23 omigosh the Pumpkin Cookie with Cream Cheese Frosting was totally tasty today 😋 Update 1/23/23...really enjoyed this pretty, sweet and tasty funfetti cake! It was delish! I should have written a review of this fantastic cafe long ago because I really enjoy it so much. Charming place, wonderful decor, talented bakers, creative and capable baristas, tasty food and an all-around welcoming feeling every time I step inside to enjoy whatever they have to offer.
