The atmosphere was nice, pleasant. Salad I ordered was tasty, but nothing too overly stellar. I ordered a house pizza with many toppings, the flavor just didn’t jump out at me. To a point, it basically tasted flat. Hardly any tomato flavor either. I initially ordered for my drink a Sierra Mist. I could immediately tell it was off, the ‘water’ aspect of the pop (ratio) was like akin to (if it had been a food item) - stale. Like an aftertaste. I asked the waitress for a replacement beverage which ended up being a Pepsi. It was better but still off. The friend I was with, he ordered a Pepsi as well. And, he drinks Pepsi all the time and noted that his seemed off, in its flavor, also. With everything I ordered, came to $28.00 dollars and some change. I paid my tab with $20.00 dollars cash and the rest on my debit card. I receive notices to my phone when my debit card has been ran (charged) with anything over $10.00 dollars. I noticed that my card was charged with the full amount from the bill. Initially I didn’t think about it and had to use the restroom. When I returned to the table, my bill receipt was lying there and my debit card. Then I wondered why my card was charged for the full amount (even with the cash difference.) Nothing was explained to me or said why it had been rang up this way. Waitress finally came back around by the table and I inquired. Then the manager showed up and explained. They couldn’t initially ring it up with telling the register that I was paying cash (first) and the difference on my card, as debit. They offered up some feeble excuses for their equipment not operating properly or what have you. The difference placed on my card (as debit) they ran that and then had to refund that amount, too. THEN re-ran the whole bill once more. They seemed to give indication they had previous issues with their system and said they are or had been having difficulty with the company that handles these type electronic transactions. I said, maybe you should get a new register system or company. It mildly upset me that they couldn’t take the time originally to explain what had happened. Just my bill lying on the table showing (what appeared) to be the full amount charged to the card. Not impressed at all. Maybe some of their other food is okay but the pizza (I had) akin to cardboard for flavor. I do not recommend this place. Go somewhere else or to a fast food pizza place in town, I’m sure you’ll receive a product with much...
Read moreTook my daughter's here tonight. One ordered boneless wings and fried pickle chips. The wings were hard crunchy and dry, she eats this type other places ( parm. and garlic) and she said the taste was horrible. The pickle chips were overly deep fried and tasted like they were fried in same oil with fish, yuck! Not to mention she was running for the bathroom as soon as we got home. I had a BLT and "beer" battered onion rings. The sandwich was on very hard to bite and chew bread, it had bacon bits not slices of bacon, ate half of the sandwich. The onion rings were definitely NOT beer battered, as when done so they have a light and fluffy deep fry and are oh so yummy. The ones I received appeared to be out of a frozen bag of regular old onion rings, again deep fried Way too long, hard to bite so crunchy. Charged 5.99 for a small handful of onion rings. The only decent meal was the one my other daughter ordered and that was a white chicken lasagna. She stated it was very yummy and it did look very appetizing. She also ordered the cheese bread sticks, which were pretty good in taste but very very greasy. We were also set at a table very near where the employees rolled silverware and hung out at the counter. At one point there were like ten employees just hanging around and talking away. Not a nice relaxed enjoyable place to sit at all. The round tables with chairs on the lower level were awful to sit in, they killed my bum and back and since we were in a high traffic area people were bumping into us and walking by being loud. Over all the experience was poor to not very nice at all. The food all but one dish was so so to pretty unappetizing. I may give it one more try if able to sit in a booth or upstairs in more comfortable chairs. Defiantly not worth the 60.00 we spent, maybe half the price for so so bar type food. Pretty sure I would not recommend to any one unless they wanted just...
Read moreVery cool place. We were driving through West Branch a month or two ago on our way to Meijer and I was craving a supreme pizza; I entered that into my google maps and G’s pizzeria came up. We were like 2 miles away so we headed toward it, and I’m so glad we did. Now first off, let me introduce myself. I am a self made pizza aficionado. A true Italian pie critic. Basically I’m a 40 something who loves pizza of all kinds, to put it bluntly lol. Tbh pizza is the one food I could eat every single day and never ever get tired of it. I’ve been this way my whole life, and yes, I take my statins. LOL. I consider my opinion on pizza to be one that should come with a little extra weight as I definitely have some pizza mileage under my belt! G’s not only uses fresh mushrooms, but their crust is honestly in my top 2 that I have ever had, it is bubbly and just delicious. Their sauce is not acidic or too sweet, it’s a perfect balance. Our first visit we both ordered individual pizzas, but the last two times that we’ve made the trek from Lewiston JUST to go to G’s, I got the pizza, breadstick and salad buffet (I think it’s $9 all you can eat! What a deal in today’s economy). The salad bar is very clean and nicely stocked, great toppings and what not. There are some breadsticks and dessert sticks (in all honesty I haven’t tried either of them, I’m a pizza snob remember?!), and 3-4 different pizzas to choose from. You can request a pizza of your choosing if it’s time for them to bring out more.
Anyways tl;dr I’m a pizza snob, This place SLAPS, and you should...
