ETA 11/5/25: They've gone over the 30 day limit on providing me with my deposit refund, as required by Ohio law. I cannot get a hold of anyone who has any actual information, I am just being told it's been "pushed through by corporate", whatever that means. If I ever receive my refund I will update. ETA 11/8/25: I have received my deposit refund but not the interest that had accrued from them unlawfully withholding my money from me for 9 days. I have lived here since 2023 & I cannot wait to move out. We have had 3 neighbors above us & 4 in the unit in front of us in the less than two years we have lived here, & the majority of them seemed to not understand that they share walls with others, but after a quick chat they were all amenable, except for this most recent neighbor. They are playing music, yelling at their tv, their dog barks for hours, & this happens every single day. The office has done absolutely nothing to resolve this. The lease renewal offer was $100 more a month than our original rate just two years ago, & nothing has been done to improve the unit to warrant that price. I have never even bothered to use the "amenities" here because the pool, when open, is completely packed with people (usually guests of tenants) & the workout room is the same. Our air conditioning has smelled of mildew since we moved in, & they have had multiple maintenance people come in & say they have resolved it, yet it still has the same moldy, mildewy smell to it. The ceiling has a dripping pipe that we can hear every time we run water, but their maintenance person tried to convince us that it couldn't be a dripping pipe because they are in the walls, not the ceilings... which would mean my shower must be operated by Bluetooth I guess. I have given up trying to get them to fix things for us, it's just a waste of my time. The landscaping care beyond cutting the grass is non-existent. I have had to trim the ivy that is overgrowing my patio, remove bird nests from the balcony above it, spray constantly for bugs, wasps, trim bushes to keep them from growing inside our windows. Getting the office staff to answer the phone, respond to an email or voicemail is like pulling teeth, not to mention the rudeness directed towards me & my mother when we are just asking that they do their job & take care of coordinating maintenance, deal with issues regarding our attached neighbors, or landscaping maintenance. For all the issues I have dealt with, the rent is laughable. I can pay about $1000 less & deal with the same nonsense somewhere else. Fortunately we are moving & don't plan to rent from any "Hills...
Read moreAbsolute waste of money. Initially approached by the leasing agent to portray a beautiful, clean apartment and what we got was the complete opposite. Our apartment balcony was covered in green algae/mold/mildew which we pressure washed, the smell in the apartment was musty, and walking across the carpet made the bottoms of your feet turn of black filth, which we had professionally shampooed.
A month after we moved in, the leasing agency began renovation projects for all kitchens. Came back from a trip only to find out kitchen flooded, and carpet soaked/ puddled. Called the office, and they had the guys come put humidifiers in, and told us to file a claim with our renters insurance for water damage. We ate the cost of the water damage to our own things, and decided to not file a claim. The leasing office was of no help for something their workers failed to do correctly during the renovation. Now after we moved out they want to charge us for water damage due to animal urine. First off, my dog is fully potty trained and we have stayed in previous apartments that have been completely new that never had a fee due animal urine. THE CARPET WAS IN EXTREME POOR CONDITION UPON OUR MOVE IN DATE. We didn't point it out, because the condition of the apartment was similar. Just a nasty place to live, but we were obligated signed leasing agreement.
Not only are these people shady, but our lease ended on 9/15, but we decided to move out 10/30 and turn in our keys. The leasing agency informed us that if we turn in our keys in advance then we may not have to pay the remaining 15 days of lease if a new owner leases out the apartment. Conveniently enough, they had renters sign on 9/15, which made us liable to pay a prorated amount from 9/1 to 9/15. The leasing office failed to call and inform us that there were no potential buyers, we had already turned in our key. They stole our money for the 15 days that nobody was there, nor did they attempt to sell the apartment.
THIS PLACE IS AN ABSOLUTE DUMP TO LIVE IN. They have dead wild animals all over their property that they don't maintain, and always have some sort of construction going on causing a disturbance to those living there. The leasing agents just want to sell the apartment and not provide any efficient customer service. HORRIBLE PLACE TO RENT, get this they increased the rent from 1180 to something over 1400 for a 2 bedroom apartment. The place isn't worth paying more than 400 for.
Do yourself a favor and don't rent from these people, absolute disgust on their service. Will be filing a...
Read moreReview Update 11/6/25:
So unfortunately I am updating my review as my experience with Landings have turned into a not so pleasant one. So id been watching two units that were marked available on the site for a whole week. One said it was available on 10/13 and the other on 10/15. I was ready to apply on 10/15 and did so. I didnt hear anything from the complex until 10/17 and they stated the unit was all of a sudden gone. Again id literally watched both of these units sit for at least a week. But then tried to suggest a unit that would be available 11/13 which i was not interested in. Dialog was now slow as it was very prompt and efficient prior too. Saturday 10/18 texting with Alyssa, she stated she could refund my money and cancel my application. I then told her to please do so. Sunday 11/2 I sent a text checking on the status of my refund as it should have been received by now and I still have not gotten a response with an update.
Renter BEWARE the switch up is REAL!!
I'd originally found this property online, amongst a few others. But I'd already had my eyes on this one just based off of the pictures. I LOVE a nice kitchen. Made an appointment to come up from out of state, initially speaking with Alyssa via email. In my first inquiry I'd asked a few specific questions and she responded answering every last one. (Some of the properties Id reached out to did not.) Again, I am moving from out of state so a lot of things are important to know up front. Alyssas, response time via email was not only incredible but thorough each time. That let me know that she was actually reading what I was saying. We set my viewing for 9.3 @4pm. When I got there she was on the property which was ok, so I was then introduced to Taylor. Taylor was exceptionally nice, but in a way that flows and I could tell that was just him. He showed me around the property, and my unit of interest. Answered all of my questions and he also listened. (Im a bit of a chatty cathy when comfortable :)) The pics online were EXACTLY what I saw in person. A lot of times unfortunately complexes do the ole bait & switch!! Coming from GA the price is just right! And so much cheaper for more than what Im paying for less!! I haven't fully transitioned yet but my heart is truly set on The Landings at Beckett Ridge!! Taylor set the tone!! Annnnnnnnnnnnd he doesn't drive the cart like a...
