Tasty Pot — Restaurant in West Chicago Township

The area the restaurant is in looks like a new development area. There are many restaurants/stores along the strip. I appreciate the parking lot right across the street from the restaurant. When we walked in we were sat right away. The led lights make it bright and welcoming. The wait staff explained the menu to us and made recommendations. My friend and I had the #1 which is the beef soup. We were told this is a favorite. I got mine very spicy. They bring it out in a bowl and light the fire underneath it to keep it hot. I really appreciated that small detail. I loved the flavors of the broth. The meats inside the pot were good and weren't tough. Honestly, I wish I had got the flame spicy because I needed a little more heat. I had the passion tea and I was not disappointed. My friend had one of the milk teas. My favorite restaurant is Boiling Point, so I was very excited to see a similar restaurant opening up in Chicago. I ordered the kimchi dumpling soup and the taste was pretty good, but there were some logistical issues.

The pots we were given were too small to hold all the ingredients and broth immediately began pouring out onto the table. The servers took the pots back and reduced the amount of broth, but then we had so little broth that it was really difficult to cook our noodles let alone our add ons. With so little broth, it also evaporated quicker and our ingredients started burning at the bottom.

The fire also ran out of fuel 2 times within around 40 minutes so we kept having to replace the fire.

you definitely get your money’s worth here. each hot pot is decently priced and comes with so much food. one order could definitely feed two people. we also ordered the calamari which was good and even received complimentary green tea. service was nice and attentive, and the food came out pretty fast. they did have some sauces at the table, but i wish they had a sauce bar so we could make a dipping sauce. overall, we had a good experience and would come back to try other...
