I went here with my family and had an interesting experience. The décor and atmosphere was fantastic. They have great artwork and were playing mostly 90’s & early 2000’s Banda, Cumbia, and Norteña music, which we loved.
Service was a little slow but that was no fault of the waiter. He was very friendly and was the only person handling the bar, pickup orders, and the tables. He was doing a good job handling all the chaos but management should do a better job with staffing.
So now the food. Before I describe the food, I should explain my background with Mexican food. I have grown up eating Mexican food from all different regions of Mexico. I also appreciate when a restaurant adds their own twist to Mexican cuisine or there is some type of Mexican fusion theme to the menu, as long as it’s done well.
This is what we ordered: horchata, limonada, agua de sandia, al pastor tacos, carne asada tacos, carne asada torta, guajillo shrimp burrito, and waffle fries. The horchata was good, but very sweet and the limonda was fine. Now the agua de sandia had a very artificial taste which surprised us. Instead of tasting like fresh watermelon, it tasted like the watermelon flavoring you would expect from hard candy. Now the food had a traditional presentation and it looked very good. As soon as my wife took a single bite of her al pastor taco, she took out her phone to check the reviews and was surprised how high the review rating is, which at the time of this review is at 4.6. The al pastor was very bland. The carne asada on the other hand, both for the tacos and the torta, I wouldn’t describe as bland, but the best description I can come up with is that the meat was stale, which is the first time I every described meat that way. Also the bread for the torta was terrible; very flimsy and broke apart right away. The burrito was actually very good and my son enjoyed it. The waffle fries were also very good and we got a side of queso to accompany the fries which was a great mix.
Lastly, the bathrooms could definitely use an upgrade as there was a strong smell of sewage.
In summation, I wouldn’t come back for the food, but because of the party vibe the place has, maybe I would come back for just drinks since they do have an...

Read moreWe went yesterday arrived at 5 and the young lady took out to go order for the love tacos. Which are 7 customizable tacos in a heart shaped to go box.
First the overall vibe was very nice. It wasn’t crowded upon our arrival. The waitress was pleasant in taking our order but as a whole nobody was really warm and welcoming.
We placed our order at 515p and realized soon after we weren’t made aware of any toppings that we could have gotten for the tacos. So wet called her over and she told us she thinks they only come with cilantro and onion. But on the website if you’re planning a to go order they let you select a multitude of sides. I would just like consistency if that’s how it is to place a pick up order why would I not have that option when onsite planning the order.
The total with Jamaica and lemonade and chips and salsa was $56. When we got our sealed to go order everything was inside the brown paper bag.
They shorted us 1 taco and the salsa we were supposed to get. We ordered 4 steak,1 Cod, 2 chicken. They gave us instead 4 steak, 1 chicken and 1 Cod.
The tacos were all seasoned better than most places which was a pleasant surprise. The chips were good which made the lack of salsa very apparent and sad lol. I was not a fan of the Cod taco.
Just sucks when places don’t take their time and we waited at least 45 min to get the order at that. I mean I’d go back just would check my to go order...
