My review of Humboldt Park is strictly as a concert festival space, as it is where I have attended Riot Fest for the past three years now. Simply put, while it's nice to see a concert outdoors in some green space, while street parking in the area isn't terrible and while I have ultimately had a good time as the fest, the grounds have been strange all three years. The first year, the way it was fenced off essentially eliminated the proper space to walk around the outside to get the to entrance to get into the show. The second year, two of the secondary main stages were along a street but packed too tightly with vendors to leave room to move/get close to the stage, and this past year, in a new area, it had to horribly work its way around the water that runs through Humboldt.
