Allstate Field — Local services in West Chicago Township

My review of Humboldt Park is strictly as a concert festival space, as it is where I have attended Riot Fest for the past three years now. Simply put, while it's nice to see a concert outdoors in some green space, while street parking in the area isn't terrible and while I have ultimately had a good time as the fest, the grounds have been strange all three years. The first year, the way it was fenced off essentially eliminated the proper space to walk around the outside to get the to entrance to get into the show. The second year, two of the secondary main stages were along a street but packed too tightly with vendors to leave room to move/get close to the stage, and this past year, in a new area, it had to horribly work its way around the water that runs through Humboldt. This place is SOOOOO far away from any train station which makes getting to this park a pain in the neck. I make the trek once a year though for Riot Fest which is why I rate it so high. This pretty park plays host to one of the best music festivals I've ever been to so it makes me a little bias. It's a nice park, but the trash situation really needs work. I live close by and I like walking my dog through the park, but it's a lot less enjoyable for the both of us when I have to pull her away from trash and dig bones out of her mouth that people have left on the grass.
