Captain Hook's — Restaurant in West Chicago Township

Late post..but a HONEST one ….Mother’s Day May 14,2023 …on Mother’s Day I was wore out during the day activities going to church and afterwards of this and that I decided not to cook cause it’s Mother’s Day and I decided to get some take out and then we decided to go to Captain Hook’s to get this and that for dinner …First time I step into the place ( always order over the phone hubby pick it up or deliver) but to my surprise it’s a neat and clean place and some restaurants be gloom with the gloomy lights this place is bright and cheerful kinda feel to it ..I order my meal ( The man who works there his customer services was on point ) he was nice well after I got my meal he was so polite he told me on the behalf for Mother’s Day the mothers get a free dessert ( I was eyeing the slices of cake before he even speak lol when I came in ) was a nice touch at the end of a long day …In other words I enjoy my little visit and the worker who was in charge was a delightful...

I ordered a 50 chicken yesterday 05/14/2022 for a party. The chicken was burnt or cooked in old oil or it was old chicken. I literally have 3 big ziplock bags left because noone hardly ate it N my sister found a piece of hair on the bottom part of her drum stick. When I called a man answers N I explaine to him about the chicken and all he says is ok. Not once but 3 times. I said to him, is that all you have to say is ok. The chicken was horrified N I don't recommend this place to anyone. I will never order from them again. He told me to bring whatever I had left and he would refund itwhst I had left. Why would I do that. They probably would sell it to someone else....

New lady at the front counter middleastern/Arab with ghetto pushy attitude. Made purchase no cc receipt just rings my order and walks away. Had to ask for my receipt of purchase. I guess she thinks she has to have that nasty attitude for customers. Not necessary you're taking ppl money running a business BE NICE. won't be going back. My $$ don't deserve that nasty attitude.
