PSA. This is NOT your traditional stand alone Chick-Fil-A location. There is no drive thru, no play place, limited menu options, corporate promotions/gift cards do not apply here and thats OK. This location was franchised and specifically purpose built for a College Campus with staff hired through the University NOT Chick-Fil-A Corporate. If you don't like it, complain to the school not the company.
That being said, yes this location has higher than average wait times especially during opening/closing hours and between classes. Limited menu does mean that some of your usual favorite items may or may not be available here. Again this is a specialty location.
Based off my experiences, the food quality is just as good as any other location. The staff isnt as overly polite as you would encounter at your traditional corporate owned locations, but they do try their best to pump out orders and help service customers. Its a freaking college campus. Everyone loves chicken sandwiches. Its going to be busy and they are trying their best. Dont be a snowflake and just enjoy your * milkshake and waffle fries already! The food is great! Be nice to staff and they will be nice to you! Staff...
Read moreI asked the manager kindly if I can get the free offer with my purchase and she explodes on me refusing to do so for no reason. SHE CLEARLY WANTS THE STORE TO GO OUT OF BUSINESSS. When I told her that I will give an honest review for the way she treats her customers she exactly said "that's ok Im used to it" uic dining need to pay attention to these unacceptable mistakes of hiring unqualified personal for a professional university like uic. Dear chic-fil-a "manager" if you don't appreciate the money thats paid for you nor the people you work with, You can kindly ask to quit your job and look for maybe a better job, but dont corrupt your coworkers vision towards how business is handled. They look up to you, and your attitude deprives there good energy and innocent will to go out and learn from there job...
Read moreI decided to come here with my sister to get two large fries. No other people were in line where we ordered and a line began to form after us. Almost 4 people got their order before us, and we only ordered two large fries. The service is prolonged, and their hygiene needs to be paid more attention to. While my sister and I waited, we noticed that none of the workers wore gloves. To make things worse, the guy that put our fries in the bag, scratched his arm without gloves and used the same hand to put our food in the bag. This is highly unhygienic, and I'm not sure what the manager is doing, but they need to get things straight with the employees. I'm incredibly disappointed and will not be returning to this...
