Tropical Smoothie Cafe — Restaurant in West Chicago Township

Updating my previous review- the manager, Jon, was extremely helpful at addressing the problems with my previous order. I received a remake that was to the usual quality standard of TSC. The employees were pleasant and friendly. Honestly I think my previous experience was due to the person who was working there and not reflective of the overall restaurant. Will be stopping by in future!

Worse tropical smoothie experience to date. Received the smoothie dripping out of the cup. She even looked at me as the smoothie was dripping down my hands…. The smoothie is self was clearly not blended well, each sip tasted different.

The wrap is extremely sloppy and half filled. It is almost half the size filled as I am used to. Barely any chicken and did not receive extra mozzarella.

This is extreme disappointing as the other nearest location is 30 mins away vs this one being a 5 min drive. Especially considering the price point, I expect better quality. I’ve never had a problem with any other...

I'd like to start off by saying that I order from this location frequently and I've never had an issue. I always purchase the "Paradise Point" smoothie; therefore, I know what it should taste and look like. Well, today (3/9/22) I ordered myself a "Paradise Point" as I always do and I could tell that there wasn't any banana in it. The smoothie only tasted like strawberry, ice, and a tiny hint of pineapple. Also, the smoothie was visually clear, usually it has a cloudy/creamy look due it having banana. I told one of the employees about the issue and she asked one of her coworkers for a suggestion on what to do. The second employee told me "the other flavors are overpowering the banana flavor" and that they "couldn't make another smoothie for free". I walked away because to me it seemed like I was being accused of wanting another smoothie for free when in reality I just wanted the smoothie I paid for. I threw out the smoothie, which mind you I had only taken 2/3 sips from, because it wasn't...

The Good: -they’re trying. -most of them know what they’re doing. -there’s one employee who will make you smile no matter what, her attitude makes everyone feel extremely welcomed. Idk her name but every single time she says “awesome sauce”

The Bad: -they got what I wanted fully wrong. I walked in with 2 other friends and 2/3 of us got something completely different from what we asked for. -the wait time is insane -the wraps are sloppy and the smoothies aren’t filled to the top.

The Ugly (not really): Overall, it's fine. They're usually right with my orders, but not enough to leave it out. The smoothies seem delicious (even if they’re not always what I order) and they’re refreshing and full of flavor. It was the perfect way to cool down on a hot summer day. I would recommend this...
