Went in for the first time today, and got a pastry. The woman told me the total, and she took my card and I could have sworn I saw her add herself a 30% tip. She just smiled and handed me my card and said have a good day! I was so confused and taken aback I didn’t have time to say anything. So sure enough, checked my account and the charge did have a 30% upcharge from what I was told. I’ll not be going back supporting a neighborhood spot from a place that is ok with tipping themselves without the customer knowing. Which sucks bc that pastry was really good. I ordered a cake for my kiddo’s picnic bday party and it was more than PERFECT. It was not only beautiful, but it was one of the most delicious cakes I’ve ever tried. We ordered a large cake (there are only two sizes: Medium and Large): vanilla cake with almond frosting. All our guests were asking where we got the cake from. Can’t wait to order more cakes from Sachayra.
