Jacaranda — Restaurant in West Chicago Township

Customer service was horrible. The owner said I couldn’t go inside the restroom after purchased what I ordered. He was rude and harassing me. Said I couldn’t go inside the bathroom with my purse and briefcase. And said I had a 3 minute wait to use to restroom. The weather was bad and i took public transportation to get there. I’ve never had a bad experience there before. My family even knows them. Their deceased. I would have like to watch a sport game that they couldn’t even provide. I was willing to pay to enjoy the event so everyone can enjoy it too. The owner seemed like he was high and under the influence of drugs and maybe. He even grabbed my personal belongings. The bar is an awesome neighborhood bar. The staff is extremely friendly. Whether you just want a beer or a strong cocktail the bartenders are well equipped.

One thing that is awesome is that they often provide free food for all guests! The food is usually from one of the restaurants in the area. But, every Sunday they will have Menudo(a traditional mexican hangover dish) from opening until it's all gone.

Friendly, chill neighborhood bar. Very welcoming. Felt like a family vibe, lots of folks who know each other. Affordable, good drinks. Went on a Monday evening and there was free, delicious homemade beef stew graciously offered, with bread from the local bakery!
