I would have given it 5 stars âš if it wasnât because the dress didnât arrive within the 3 month period we were told. My daughterâs dress was custom made & we were promised to get it by late May/early June. I called week after week in June since the cotillion was July 20th. There was always a new story/thing/incident. By July 10th, we had already lost hope. We didnât believe the owner anymore. Even though she had ordered a dress she thought was similar to my daughterâs to be rushed and with us by July 13th, we were not satisfied. She told us she had done this as backup.
The dress was not like the one my daughter chose. We ended up going to other boutiques just in case the dress didnât arrive. Ariel, the owner, did say she would give us our $ back if needed & would do any alterations to a dress bought elsewhere at no cost. FORTUNATELY, my daughterâs dress arrived Friday, July, 12th! Exactly a week before the BIG day! What a RELIEF!đ€ We rushed to do a fitting & to purchase other accessories/things needed to go with the dress. To our SURPRISE the dress was BEAUTIFUL!!!!! We ALL fell in LOVE with it. đđ
Though we were very upset with the whole situation, seeing my daughterâs face lit up made us forget about the immense stress we went through. Ariel offered to give us a deal on anything else purchased if we wanted to buy it there. She felt very sorry for what we went through & really tried everything to make it up. She gave my daughter a BEAUTIFUL gift đ, & gave us a reasonable price on the accessories, pillow, champagne bottle set, & bouquet. She promised to have everything ready for us Monday, July 15th.
When we picked up everything on Monday, again we LOVED IT ALL! đMy daughter tried on her dress again with the alterations done, & she looked like a beautiful princess đžđ». Ariel really tried her best to help us out even though it was unacceptable that the dress came late and we went through unnecessary stress.
We just thank God everything worked out and everything turned out beautiful. Things could've been worse. We understand things do happen, but we hope no one has to go through this if they purchase from My Quince World. Thank you again Ariel for making it up! While on vacation, we made a quick stop and went to one more store in Mexico. Fast forward to today, we envisioned visiting a few stores in the heart of the beautiful Little Village Community! Welllllâthere was no need to! We stopped here and fell in love with the service, attention, transparency, kindness and the beautiful dresses! The only reason we left and came back was because we were hungry!    Read moreI would put 0 stars if I could. The reason for this review is because I had planned out a quince for my daughter back before the pandemic hit and everything was shut down. The dress I put a deposit on was for $150.00 and it was in March of 2020. I called to see if I can get a refund and they asked if I can push it towards the summer and I said yes. I then said if my daughter does not have a quince, I can try to do a sweet 16. So with everything slowly opening up and with certain restrictions, we didn't have the sweet 16 as we liked. The woman from my quince world said I can't have a refund because they almost lost their business. I lost my job and still been looking for over a year and they are the only business who did not refund the deposit. I luckily had refunds from the hall, cake, and DJ deposits and even the hall I had paid in full. My quince world decided that I held the dress too long and that they could have sold it during the pandemic. When the pandemic first happened, they told me if I didn't have anything, I can get a refund because they understood what was going on.
