Every time I go to the Lucy in uptown I call and tell them to cook my chicken Extra crispy and several times I've picked up my order and went to my car to eat some and it's ALWAYS Slimey and soggy like it smothered chicken and if you call them immediately after leaving I think they can see your name and number because they will not ANSWER itried calling them back about 3 min after I left out the restaurant 1/16/21 Saturday night on Broadway to let them know that my chicken wasn't cooked like I requested and they wouldn't answer I call 4x and they refused to answer also there was not ANY napkins for that greasy chicken and no utensils. This has happened 3x that I've had this happen at that Lucy's in uptown and I've never had a problem with them answering the phone before except the other night 1/16/21 when they could see that I was immediately calling them back and I had just paid $20 for 2 orders I was sitting outside in my car. I started to take that garbage back in there but I just won't go there anymore I'm glad I didn't leave any tips for that kinda food and service. I love the Lucy's in Humboldt Park their chicken is ALWAYS cooked very well and really crispy and not greasy. I notice on other device that the owner in uptown only chose certain people to say send a email and she would do anything to make it right but only for a chosen few. She didn't say that to me about the problem I had at her restaurant. Idont be going to her spot on Broadway again they Never cook my chicken the way I request...
Read moreThe restaurant is not big, and it is not fancy either, but it has what I consider to be one of the best spicy fried chicken sandwiches. I have known this place for a long time, and I pretty much go in here whenever I am near the restaurant, and it is pretty much always busy. It has a nice and cute space with a nice interior full of lovely decorations, including the paintings and the album covers on their walls, which are really pleasing to the eyes. That is also what I liked about this restaurant. It is just a small restaurant, but it is casual and the ambiance inside is really nice, somehow fun and comfortable. I consider their spicy fried chicken sandwich to be one of the best because, first of all, it has a fair and decent price. The amount of chicken in it is huge, and it has the perfect kick of spiciness. The chicken is also not dry. It is juicy, but there was one time when I received a dry one, but thanks to the nice and delicious sauce, it was less dry. The portion of the sandwich is also nice and is reasonable for its price. The place also has good customer service. The people here are nice and friendly. The service is quick most of the time, but if the restaurant is packed and busy, there may be a short...
Read moreVisited this location for the first time about 4 days ago, and I loved it! Firstly the young lady at the front was very friendly and welcoming. She explained all the seating options and informed us on all the drink options. They have house sodas which I though was cool, but I didn’t end up trying any.
The burger I got was the Juicy Lucy Burger with a side of french fries. This burger had a nice surprise of being cheese filled! It gave it a nice flare, the overall taste was very savory and memorable. At a point my lipstick was both above and below my lip, I was going in. One thing I wish I could change was the amount of their sauce that they put on the burger, it definitely would have changed it up for the better. It had a nice tangy flavor but it was there and gone within a second. The fries were generously portioned which was a plus since they were more of a shoe string style.
To tie it all together, I loved the experience here. The restaurant in itself is a nice ambient atmosphere. Good classics playing in the background, walls covered in vinyl cover art and imagery. Plenty of seating is a plus and it’s BYOB! A new go to spot for me and I definitely recommend it if...
