Popeyes Louisiana Kitchen — Restaurant in West Chicago Township

I came in to order dinner for my family with a new VISA gift card with a balance of $50. Newly activated and never used it before!

I had ordered the OVERPRICED 8 piece meal. It was $26 on the board but over $30 after taxes.

The Hispanic cashier was obviously new and did not know how to put the card in! I realized the manager on duty, who witnessed everything but did not assist, was also Hispanic, as well as the cook in back!

Rather than figuring it out she asked me to use another method, I refused and so I left!

I returned later that evening and noticed the whole crew on this shift had changed!!!

The cashier, manager, and cook in back was of a different nationality. Not saying that was better, but I was able to use the same card without a problem!

Annoyingly, when I got home, some pieces were overcooked and dried out, while others were undercooked and pink inside!!!

I'm like... WTW!!! NEVER AGAIN!!! POPEYES prices are much too high for them to overcook and undercook the food!!! And to have undertrained staff playing around with folks finances!!!

I thought the Popeyes chicken on roosevelt/ homan was filthy and service was beyond words so I now drive all the way to halsted/roosevelt thinking because it's near the loop, UIC college & hospital the service and cleanliness had to be better absolutely not!!! on the Frontline the gentleman had no gloves on with a uniform shirt on that look like it came straight out the garage it was just nasty his entire appearance was unacceptable his hair looked like he was homeless wasn't combed and look like kent all over it ... it was all just unsanitary for him to be fixing customers food and to top it off again without gloves!!! but if we don't say anything they will continue to give us service like this in our neighborhood I will bet you $ 500 to your $5 you couldn't dare go in wheeling or country club hills and find someone serving food looking dirty, and unsanitary ( I'll wait) And I'll leave you with this the management was standing next to him with a clipboard i guess doing the schedule Where you ask 1200 s halsted And O no I didn't eat the food I tried...

This was the worst Popeye's I have ever had! When I entered it was a mound of chicken cooked and no one in the restaurant, but a worker taking her break at one of the tables. I ask the young Lady behind the counter if the chicken was fresh, because it could've been one of two things very fresh and they just made that big mound of chicken or it has been sitting there for a long time. She assured me it was fresh. I live no more than six minutes away. Got home, the chicken was so old. It was cold, dry, and overcooked. The whole meal was just disgusting. The rice and beans cold! the biscuits cold! It will be the last time that I go to that particular Popeyes if I ever go to a Popeyes again. This experience has changed our feelings for Popeyes our Sunday dinner was ruin. Not only did I pay $30 for a eight piece meal but it was an edible so I ended up paying $30 for two pieces of chicken that we tried, and could not eat. the rest we had to throw in the garbage. I don't have money to waste but I would rather throw it away, then try...
